In summary

Green Tree Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and enjoyable layout, making it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. However, many reviewers express concerns about the course's maintenance, noting issues with greens, fairways, and bunkers, which can detract from the overall golfing experience. While some find the course fun and challenging, others are disappointed by the inconsistent conditions and occasional slow pace of play.

Pro shop and ranger super nice! Played day after Thanksgiving, course was very busy but ranger kept it moving. Cart path only on very sloppy pathways with deep potholes. Fairways are tight, narrow approaches and lots of water. Greens were slick and in good condition. Would like to try again at a better time of year. Course has potential.

i like coming here because it’s close and it’s affordable compared to other courses in the area. The grounds crew and the rangers are great. the worst thing about this course is the gentleman in the pro shop there are a few which are great and chatty then there is one older gentleman who just straight up doesn’t know how to talk to people. i went in to check in and i booked the tee time incorrectly and i politely asked if he could accommodate which he immediately got an attitude and immediately changed the mood of the day. He is nothing but a bitter man who should not work in customer service…

Its a very reasonably priced course. Staff is friendly and they have the right concessions with a restaurantand drink cart. The potential is there, but the grass is not. I've played here several times over the years and there is consistently holes in horrendous condition; fairways with little or no grass, swamps in the rough, greens that are bare with sand and some crabgrass sprouts, lunar-like surfaces surrounding the greens. I would suggest not going here and expecting to play your best round, something will definitely sideline that effort. Golf is fun with friends and this is a fun course.…

This place is TOTALLY and COMPLETELY ADEQUATE! The greens, fairway, and rough are all just simply OK. Novel course layout! $40/round, plenty of tee times, good parking, clean bathrooms, beer in bottles, and carts that work make it a 4 for me. This place doesn’t disappoint, but neither does it WOW. All-in-all a solid recommend and I definitely will return!

Only played here because it was a hot deal The greens had a lot of fungus. It was a holiday and they had no cart girl we were all a little disappointed about that not to mention it was 93° that day . Over all would play again if the price was right but not worth more then 35$ a round

Played today. I found a course to be in very good condition and had really great challenging holes. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I played this golf course during the week of July 15th, 2025. While I had a great time with my friends and family (hence the 2-star rating and not a 1-star rating), I must say that this could be the worst golf course I have ever played. I am not sure that $45 is even close to fair - they should be charging about $5-$15 dollars to play here, depending on the day and time. The "greenskeeper" (let's be honest, he's a gardener at best) advised us on the first hole that it was cart path only. This seemed like a joke, considering that the course was barely wet and there was no way that carts on the…

Just came down to visit my buddy’s for the week, and thought this place was gonna be a hidden gem for 50 bucks, WRONG!!!! This place was dreadful from start to finish, you would think this place was under construction by the look of every hole, if my buddy’s asked me to play there again they would have to pay me over 1,000 dollars. Just for perspective, the flag stick on 16 wasn’t even in the hole it was jammed into the ground. If you are reading cancel your tee time!

Fair price for the quality of the course. Pro Shop staff is very friendly. Grounds workers work very hard to keep the course looking good. Unfortunately I always play horrible at this course. It's NOT THE COURSE, it's me... Keep up the good work GTGC!!!

One of the best dirt tracks I've ever played! Looking for a place to slug beers and enjoy a day on the course? This is your place!

Good start to the day. Conditions are rough. Felt rushed the entire time. Our triple let a double and a single play through us and still finished in 4.1 hours and was told by “someone who works there” that the guys behind us are “freaking out” (couldn’t say it directly to us) after our group had to deal with waiting 40 minutes on the front 9 for the group in front of us to stop throwing his clubs after duffing wedge shots. No respect for our group from the people behind us or “guy who works here” even though we had our time pushed back.. I drove back to my home town 170 miles to play here this…
