The good: Course is in good condition, price wasn’t awful for a Friday morning (106$) included cart and some range balls. Pace of play was excellent. The bad: The starters might have been the rudest ppl I’ve ever met. Pro shop gave me a cart as a single then I was asked by the starter very rudely why I had a cart and I should pair up on the first tee. It was me and 2 others then a 4th joined us as he was late. Then on hole 9 the starter berated us like we were children. For having our own carts. Don’t give singles carts or have them find the partner on the range or at the starter then. Th…

Easily the worst general management in Austin muni golf. Not sure where this Stephanie Parsons (I believe this is the current GM) went to school (or if she did at all) for this position, but its really laughable. Randomly got paired up with two members who said she charges them penalty fees on their tee times even when they show up. I understand a complete no-show penalty fee (this makes sense!) but they said she also charges them both when their guest cannot make it. One apparently got in a traffic accident on the way to the course on day, and obviously couldn't play, but no mercy from the GM…

Great course, friendly staff. Was a few minutes late and the starter was accommodating. For some reason, never saw anyone behind us on a Saturday. Got to love that.

Grey Rock Golf Club & Tennis provides a welcoming, well-kept setting with a scenic golf course, quality courts, and friendly staff. The layout is enjoyable for all skill levels, and the calm surroundings make it great for practice or play. A solid choice for golfers and tennis players seeking a relaxed, well-run facility.

I hadn't played the course in a few years, played there today, it's in great shape. Perfect example of Hill country golf, rolling fairways, lots of mature oak trees. Greens are tough but fair. Go out and play

Cody Mee has impressed me as a golf coach for all ages. My 11 year old son, Lucas, is currently taking individual lessons from Cody and has also attended a golf camp at Grey Rock. Providing appropriate lessons to all skill sets and communicating why and how they apply to the individual has been appreciated. I find that Cody’s lessons have connected to my game as well, so I feel I am learning along with my son. Fun putting games and some of his weight shift advice are examples.

Expensive for tourist playing when hiring clubs etc and forced to buy box of balls. But staff friendly and my teen boys loved their round.

The course is in beautiful condition, a pleasant surprise for being managed by the city. A challenging track that will surely test your skills off the tee. Greens were rolling true and at a good pace when played 9/28/2019.

Nicest muni in town, practice here a few times a week. The 19th hole has a great patio

Great layout. Green are rolling more after major work done and improvements in the last couple years.

Course is great, the one thing I HATE is that they take your card to the pro shop and never return it or anything when you buy from the cart girl. After a round a golf you tend to forget it. It’s 2025 and they already have the square system running in the facility.. guess what I have to do tomorrow.. get my card. This will be the last time I buy anything from the course. I’ll go ahead and just bring my own drinks from now on.
