We went there for the first time this past Saturday and we loved it. We were just using putters so we stayed out of the way from the other players. The staff was awesome, had a good conversation with Scott.

The actual golf course was great. I knew it was a short course before I came so I expected that but was not prepared for how short. You don't need a long game here but you do need an accurate game, soooo many trees. Back 9 greens are tiny and did I mention soooo many trees? Things I will remember for next time... They have no water on the course. They had no water in the pro shop. I'll make sure to bring my own drinks. There are some vending machines but they were mostly empty. Pro shop had lots of merchandise just nothing but Gatorade and tea to drink.

This course is a real treat. Well kept. Greens roll amazing. Sure it is short and the greens are small (good practice), but you can REALLY tell that the crew cares. In great shape. Great walk. Loved every minute of it. Will be back again. Thank you to everyone there!

If I could give this place zero stars I would but I cannot in order to leave a review. To start, the group that was behind us asked the Course Marshal to tell us “if you’re going to play this slow it’s common courtesy to let the next group play through.” Yes, this is obvious. Anyone who plays golf knows this. We were spending less than 15 minutes per hole with a group of four. The guys behind us did not ask to play through and they were never close enough to us so that we could even offer. Seeing as how this took place, we skipped a hole to avoid any conflict. Said “yes, sir” and kept it movin…

This has been my go-to course since 2022. Fairways and greens are in great condition and well taken care of. For routine players, it’s hard to lose a ball out here. Some of the tee boxes are adjusted, but will return to normal during the spring. It’s in the Texas Hill Country, so you’ll often see plenty of wildlife, including whitetail deer. When you’re done with your round, go to Storm’s Drive In for a hamburger. Pro tip: if you can, get a morning tee time. In early to mid afternoon, there are lots of people on the course and it can be rowdy, especially on weekends.

Wouldn’t let my service dog on the course. And very rude about telling me that he was not aloud.

It's a great course if you're looking for a higher difficulty. Personally all the trees were a bit much. I think the creek adds a great difficulty feature, but getting your ball over all the trees is really rough. Otherwise a well kept course.

The course was ok, thought is was a few dollars over the price its worth. The biggest turn off of the place is when an old guy, driving in what look like a $15k golf cart, was going to take my ball. If I wouldn't have hurried over to claim my ball, that was in play, he would took it. I will never play here again and will not recommend it.

This place was very nice and well maintained for being a community Golf Course. I was very impressed with the course (not my game). The fees weren’t too bad either. It cost $39 per person in the morning on a Saturday.

Hancock Park, located in Lampasas, is a fun golf course! The front 9 has what one would consider traditional greens while the back 9 has "postage stamps" sized greens that are slightly elevated above the fairways, which can make for some interesting approach shots! Hole #2 is the star of this course as it is a par-4 with a wide thought shallow island green. You have to hit a high approach shot and hope that it lands softly and sticks or your ball has a less than even chance of finding the water! The staff is friendly and the rates are reasonable. It's worth planning an outing with your golf b…
