Hawthorne Country Club

Golf course was in very poor condition. Tee boxes were not even cut and had wild grass growing and had tons of bald muddy spots. The only holes worth playing are the final three holes (7, 8 and 9). Can't comment about the people as no one was there when we checked in. Had to go upstairs to the bar to get help. We ended up just going out. I honestly can't believe why anyone would join here for a golf membership. Maybe for the pool if it's a combo, but man it's in bad shape.

Unfortunately I was supposed to have business in the NY Metro area. Because of the recent health issues I was detained and re-routes to NJ and some extra time off. Fortunately this extra time led me to enjoy a round of golf at Hawthorne CC. The atmosphere seems like that of a cozy environment. Warm welcomed by the outside staff who helped me with my bag, to my experience with the pro shop staff. The course was well maintained and the greens were in really good shape. Beautiful everything. Stephanie is rude. Was considering membership until I met her while having and PAYING for an event. I get the vibe that if your not a "regular" you don't get any service. Bad bartender that clearly hates money and doesn't want her employer to make money either. A nonchalant lackadaisical nasty person. I've lived less then half mile away from Hawthorne most of my life, imagining a membership... Will not ever return and will steer everyone away while she helms the Bar.

I loved the playground and swimming pool was great pls go it’s amazing when I went.

5 out of 5 stars I've been going to this pool for years and it is a really nice environment, the lifeguards are very nice, and the swim team is the best in Charles county.

great gem in the county i play on golfnow but a membership makes sense ....such a great family oriented facility

Nice 9 hole golf course. Excellent for working ok your short game and not being pushed. Never crowded and well maintained.

If you're a golfer you have to go to this course it is a really interesting course that's snuggled in what seems like the middle of nowhere making it such a pleasurable golf experience.

Sure it’s nice but you have to be a member to golf this course sucks for people that are from out of town

got there and paid for 18 and some old manager came out as we were about to tee off and told us we aren’t allowed to play since it’s members only… couldn’t have said that before we paid

Nice facilities for moderate sized group functions. On-site staff was helpful to our organization.
