In summary

White Plains Golf Course receives mixed reviews, with some visitors praising its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and reasonable pricing, making it a favored choice for many golfers. However, others have noted issues with course conditions, such as patchy fairways and poor greens, as well as inconsistent customer service experiences. While some find the layout challenging and enjoyable, others feel it is cramped and not conducive to long drives.

Course conditions were sub par. Grass hand'nt been cut and fairways had numerous bare spots. Course seems to digress every year.

Consistently in the worst shape with the least friendly staff in Southern Maryland. Go play St. Mary’s or Calvert. Nicer courses and better experiences for the same price.

I have played here frequently for the past three months, and here is what I have learned: 1) The course is an average to below average municipal course. It is a little overpriced. The general crowd on the course is sometimes a bit unsophisticated , and pace of play can get pretty bad. But 2 stars is fair, I think, for the playing experience. 2) The staff there are almost all jerks. For instance, I took my daughter to play there recently. The "gentleman" in the pro shop said, "ummm, she can't be on the course." I said why not??? He said she's too young. I said she's already played here four t…

Played a quick 9 hole on a weekday evening and enjoyed every minute of this place . Well maintained, cool course layout, great pricing, and the guy working at the pro shop was awesome and really helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town . 10/10

The back 9 is complete trash and the customer service from SOME of the employees is terrible.

Price was for this course was good. The greens were in pretty good shape. The staff was great. All of that being said, I hate playing this course. The fairways are all sloped and are barely different from the rough. They're extremely patchy so even if you had a good shot you'll end up hitting off dirt in between patches of shorter crabgrass. I hit multiple shots that shot at sharp angles off of chunks of grass in between patches of dirt. If you lift and place after every shot, then this would be acceptable. The plot of land is not large enough for a golf course. If you can drive the ball lon…

I had fun pace of play a little slow.

About 5 or 6 years ago, they overhauled the entire irrigation system, and the course conditions were some trash. Boy, did that investment pay off. The course is currently in great shape and is a must play for Southern Maryland.

Driving range has yet to be open when I come but it has been very wet out. Looks like a nice Set up. Very nice skatepark. Good luck catching it with light traffic but if you do, it's a great time. Everybody seems pretty nice. It would be really cool if the lights around the skatepark actually got turned on at dark 🙃

A really good course! Well maintained and a bit challenging. Reminds me of Fairway Hills in Columbia, MD. It plays harder then it looks. The staff are always pleasant & personable and they have a small but nice "19th" hole where you can eat, drink and chat with friends. There's a screened in area where you can enjoy a cigar as well. I have played here about dozen times in past 2 years. I highly recommend it. Price is right. As a senior I pay $25 for 9holes with cart on weekdays. Can't beat that...

This is my go to course for a great round of golf on a public course. I've been playing here for over 5 years and I must say I really like the changes and upgrades being made to the course. The greens are being well kept and many of the cart paths have been renovated for a smoother ride around the course. The price range on Sunday was $50 for 18 holes and cart fee which is not too expensive for the area.

This golf course takes the time and effort to ensure their course is lush and beautiful year round. The fairways are open and forgiving, the rough isnt wildly obnoxious, and the greens are always a great speed. Go for a visit, its worth the price of play.
