In summary

Marlton Golf Club has a rich history and a pleasant layout, which some visitors appreciate, along with friendly staff and additional entertainment events. However, many reviewers express dissatisfaction with the course's condition, citing issues with the greens, fairways, and overall maintenance. There are also concerns about noise from nearby residences and the perceived value for the price.

It was a beautiful day. Was really looking forward to playing. You could tell at one time the course was beautiful. Nice layout. Very competitive. The biggest disappointment was that the people who live on the golf course don’t even have enough respect for the golfers to keep their music turned down. Last thing you want to hear is rap music while you’re trying to concentrate.

I am disappointed that I have to write this type of review but it is with the hope that this will motivate or inspire the staff there to do something about the persistent deterioration of what was and still could be a great place to play a round of golf. The greens are in HORRIBLE SHAPE and the fairways are littered with big clumps of old grass clippings that make it close to impossible to find your ball after hitting it. While on the parking lot waiting to get to the club house I overheard several players complaining about the condition of the course and they obviously weren't happy. I feel a…

So disappointing. They have to fix this course. I used to live on this course until 2013 and hadn't played there since - and it was in pretty good shape. I saw on the website it got new owners in 2015 and a new "vision" and there had been renovations and was excited to come back. What a let down. I really want to support this local course but they have to invest in getting this course playable again. They are doing themselves a disservice by charging people to place this course. Many of the folks I talked to in the parking lot couldn't/wouldn't play some of the holes in disrepair and said they…

The gold course is pretty awesome. A place of history going back to 1890's. Marlton Golf Course & Country Club has a pretty good staff. Kind and Helpful. They are planning a re-imagining soon, can't wait to see this!

This course, while could be wonderful, is in horrible shape from tee box to green. I don't know how they can call dirt with weeds a fairway. Also, I notice another reviewer stated that signage is base that, and the course said this would be taken care of...this was back in February and they said they would improve that...well as of mid-July there are still no signs directing first timers around the course. Personally, I won't have to worry about this as I do Not plan on ever returning. For the price to play, I can go to m1any PG County courses that are in super condition. Marlton...you could…

Not only is this a golf course, but they have other events here for late night entertainment! My cousin invited me out for comedy night and I had a blast! Apparently, this is something that happens every Friday and it's only $10. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy myself again and the food here is soo good. I LOVED the fried shrimp.

Worst golf experience I have had in probably 5 years. The condition of the course is horrendous. The rough was full of tall weeds and crab grass. the fairways were very spotty, and there were random holes with about 3-5 gallons of water in them. The water most have been in these holes for sometime because there was algae growing in all them. Needless to say, there were a ton of mosquitos. The bunkers were also terrible. About 10% of the bunkers were marked "Ground Under Repair", but the rest of the bunkers looked exactly the same and did not have signs in them. Doesn't make much sense. The gre…

This is not the same Marlton from years ago people. I played there yesterday and felt like I should have been paid just to play the course. Very bad course condition, no pro shop, no anything like balls, hats, ball markers like years ago when I played there last. I was in shock at the total lack of upkeep on the Entire golf course. Greens, burned out patchy, not mowed, majority of the fairways are just tufts of grass, full of dandelions and goose poop 😳 The positive I got from it was ... instead of hitting on the range for an hour and a half I was able to at least hit some shots, so the $16.00…

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!! This is the worst course I've seen in my life. Every Tee Box is horrible. The tee boxes are so bad, on a few holes, there is a driving range mat to hit off of...and they are in horrible shape as well. Cant tell the difference Between parts of the fairway and the rough except for the parts of the fairways on EVERY hole that are burnt out. Almost every bunker has grass and weeds growing in it. They must've waited over a month to cut the grass. Clumps of it everywhere. No need bothering blowing it off the cart paths either. The greens are shabby on most holes. I…

One of the worst experiences I've had at Marlton. Horrible conditions, been playing there for several years and I have never played there with the course in such terrible shape. I was saddened by what I witnessed. It resembled a course that looks as if its been abandoned and was going to close for good. Staff offered their apologies for the conditions. Was once a course I looked forward to playing, no longer the case. Very disappointing.

I played the course today and besides being very wet was in terrible condition. There was spotty patches of grass if none at all in the fairways the greens were littered with bare spots and bumpy and overall I'd be surprise if it last thru the upcoming season.

Needs grass seed and fertilizer. Greens need to be aerated, seeded and rolled. Apparently it needs money and care. I used to play there a lot. With Twin Shields, Robin Dale and the Patuxent course closed Marlton could get a lot of play if put back in decent shape.
