In summary

Lake Presidential Golf Club is praised for its beautiful layout, challenging course, and friendly staff, offering a scenic and enjoyable golfing experience. However, many visitors have expressed concerns about the slow pace of play and some maintenance issues, such as overgrown tee boxes and lack of amenities like ball washers and beverage carts. While the course provides a good challenge, some feel the quality does not always match the cost, and improvements in management and course upkeep could enhance the overall experience.

Just outside of DC. Easy to access. Plentiful parking. Attended a wedding at the mansion. All guests on the property (including golf course/club patrons or members) were courteous. Positive experience.

My wife and I attended a birthday party here and it was beautiful. The hall was well decorated and they had friendly staff. The hall was well maintained, awesome facilities and good pace. They had separate restrooms for males and females and they were extremely big and clean. The restrooms also had a big storage closet and a sections where you can change outfits. The bartender was so professional. The hall also had a section where you can buy anything related to playing golf. In all we had fun.

Played on a Tuesday and had almost entire course to myself. The layout is beautiful and course in excellent shape, although people need to repair balk marks and divots better. Staff super friendly and for $55 can't beat it.

i’ll start with the staff is great and like a second family to me, and the course is in great condition for the area, but they really need to do something about the pace of play. its to a point if you start past 1:30 you’re not finishing, and the sun is setting around 8. Its not unreasonable to have a marshall out there doing something about the groups hitting 4-5 balls off the tee box per person. i know its a technical course, but just drop where your ball goes out and add a stroke or don’t i don’t care. it ruins the experience for everyone else when it takes almost 7 hours to get through a r…

Nice course, but seems like they’re phoning it in a bit. Our foursome start time was delayed 45 minutes and then we sat for 20+ minutes at several holes. With a 12:30 tee time we missed the last 3 holes because it was pitch black. The course was in good shape and plays well - but over 5 hrs for 15 holes is not okay.

I used to really enjoy this course and even have a great memory of shooting one of my best rounds here when I first started playing. Lately though, it’s gone downhill. The pace of play was rough, especially with singles and twosomes being sent out behind foursomes. The course itself has not aged well either with lots of inconsistent patches across the track. Overall, it just feels poorly managed. Friends of mine who’ve played recently echoed the same concern. It’s disappointing to see such a beautiful course lose the quality it once had. I hope this is only a phase and that things improve from…

While the layout of this course is unique and there are some scenic views, I won’t be playing it anytime soon… Pros: - Scenic holes - Functional carts with GPS That’s about it….now for the… Cons: -Overgrown tee boxes, most of them are battered and beat up -Cart path only on 5+ holes (no it’s not just par 3s)…there are several holes that are cart path only for no reason, be prepared for 100+ yard walks to your ball, downhill/uphill. There is no reason to have cart path only when it hasn’t rained, the fairways are perfectly dry and there are no ground under repair areas. -Pace of play…we play…

Loved this course and layout. Played on a Sunday morning when it was basically empty with my girlfriend. The conditioning was awesome, layout was challenging and made you think, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely going to go again.

I struggled with this rating, the course itself is challenging and it great shape, BUT the pace of play is atrocious. We tee'd off at 10:20pm on a Friday and the front nine too 2 hrs and 40 min. If they would simply get a marshal to move along slow players this course would rate a 4+.

This turtle walked from the teebox to the green faster than we did on hole 6 because pace of play was so slow. If you’re looking to get away for 6 hours of your day, this is the place.

Course needs some work. Alot of areas under repair and the bunkers are in horrendous condition. It's a nice layout but really long. Definitely has been going downhill over the years. No bev cart during our round either.

I booked a round for 7:48 Friday Morning 10/10. We were trying to squeeze in a round before a wedding in the late afternoon. We should have had no issue completing a round in time. Unfortunately Lake Pres double booked another group for the same time and told me I was supposed to be at 7:39 when I checked in. Upon checking my reservation, it was confirmed for 7:48. Because they deemed us 'late" for our phantom 7:39 time, we got screwed by the starter and shuffled back behind 3 groups and didn't tee off until almost 8:15. Now we were stuck behind groups slower than a turtle's rear end. We had…
