I truly believe that it only takes a tiny bit more effort to make a bad course better. It’s an expensive endeavor to make even a bad course; how much more expensive is it to make a good course? This course hasn’t improved even a tiny bit since I first played it in 1971. The fairways are mowed tight but there’s weeds throughout. The tee boxes are bad. The traps are completely unplayable. On the positive side: Incredibly, the greens were in great shape. There is never a wait. It’s got some interesting holes. 11 and 15 were OK. I just wish someone would buy it and juice it up with just that tiny…

Really a terrible golf course. Haven't golfed the course in 10+ years because it was poorly maintained. Looking for something close with tee times available so hoped maybe things had changed. Nope it was worse than ever. First of all the price for this course in this condition was a crime. Tee boxes were bad with weeds everywhere. fairways were mowed but filled with weeds. The rough I guess they might mow once a month. Bunkers were full of grass clippings, weeds, and leaves from the fall. Close to home but I will NEVER make the mistake to golf here again. Pleasantly surprised by the challenge and the layout. Several tight fairways and the par 5s are longer than most. The greens are large but fair. The staff was great. We'll be back soon.

The course has made some recent improvements and the staff were lovely. The course has a fun layout with some fun holes, decent greens as of now, but the bunkers aren't even playable. Would be great to see them continue to restore the conditions of the course, and reduce the cost to play. The hardest part for me is playing here when other courses nearby are similarly priced. Will probably be back here and there as it is nice to have a course local to Holly.

AVOID! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY! I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such horrific management ever in my life! First off it’s $14 for a large bucket!!!! Most expensive bucket in Michigan. Secondly, they decided to add this year this wonderful self service ball machine. Went to the driving range today, some old timer in front of me was getting balls or trying to. She opened up the top to check to see how many golf balls are left. She asks the old timer “what are you getting” I’m getting a small bucket he says. This course is in very rough shape and not worth golfing. The fairways are mostly weeds and ground is hard as a rock. The rough is so long that you better bring lots of extra balls because you will not find them if they don't land on the fairway. I will never return to this place unless they change owners. This is a shame because this course has real potential to be a great place to golf. Price was about average but the course is well below average not worth the money. Hopefully these reviews will encourage this place to at the very least mow the grass once in a while.

EDIT; The owners of the Atlas Valley and another course have bought Heather Highlands and have big plans to restore the course! Their other courses are fantastic and I’m sure they will do a great job but may take a little time to achieve. Good luck Parker’s!! I have played this course for many year’s beginning about 40 years ago. Not at all in the past 5-7 years. But had time for a quick 9 this week and thought what the hell. The only reason this course is getting 1 star is because of the staff. The bartender was a very nice lady who checked us in and was super friendly. Beyond that I have no idea how they are still in business. We played a 2some at 10am. It was $49 per person. The audacity they have to charge this amount is insane. The only thing kept up about this course are the greens. Fairs need help, the rough is terrible, and tee boxes have crazy weeds. Please pay attention…..NEVER GOLF HERE!!!! The staff consisted of 1 person, who was very nice , and 1 other person I seen on the turn. The bunkers are basically weed pits, the greens were overgrown and sooooooooooo slow! There was missing tee markers, dead grass that swallows golf balls. The bathrooms were disgusting, and the portable toilets have seen better days! Make a stand so owners will take actual ownership for the sad state of a $49 dollar disappointment. Man. Where do I start? They better buy up some cows to start grazing because god knows the groundskeepers aren’t mowing. You know that the groundskeeper knows the bunkers are bad when they don’t even have rakes out next to each one. Some fairs ways are scalped while others are too long. The rough is ROUGH. Cart paths? Non existent. They look more like maintenance paths for employees. Trees cut down in cart paths and even cut up into logs but then left to just sit and block the “cart paths”. Fairways overgrown and covered in weeds, bunkers not fixed looking horrible, greens full of dead grass. Definitely not worth the price, you're better off going to a local muni course. I'm a 30 handicap and I wouldn't want to spend that kind of money to go here. They also don't stagger the tee times enough. A single was just teeing off at our tee time so we had to wait for them and then had multiple groups coming up behind us. We stopped at the turn and still finished 18 in 4 and a half hours with our group with also letting a twosome play through.

I Love this golf course. The team inside is always right there to get you on the course and fit you into play when we don’t have a tee time. Can’t not say enough about the Friendly environment of this beautiful golf course. Hands down my favorite course… Thank You Heather Highlands for the private club feel at a public course👍🏼🫶🏼👍🏼.
