In summary

Hells Point Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic views and unique, challenging layout, which many find appealing for both beginners and seasoned golfers. However, there are consistent concerns about the course's maintenance, including poor condition of tee boxes and greens, as well as issues with customer service and management practices. Some visitors also report dissatisfaction with the treatment by staff and the overall value for the price.

One of my favorite courses I’ve ever played. Beautiful, extremely unique layout, very challenging in general. Tee boxes are pretty terrible, many of them have no grass at all, greens aren’t amazing either. Fairways were in fairly good shape, and each hole offered a different challenge from the last. Would love to play here again

Very well maintained and marked golf course. Beautiful, scenic views on many of the holes. Challenging enough for beginners but not overly easy for more seasoned vets. Reasonably priced during the week. We will definitely be coming back to play again when we vacation here.

played here on a sunday, there were two cart guys, one older guy who was polite, other one was younger and one of the rudest people I've encountered at a golf course, we didnt know if he was joking or not, made many rude remarks and was not friendly at all, very disrespectful, set the round off horrible. then while we were playing, our pace was fast, older man comes up and gets mad at us for not hitting when there were two gentleman only about 200 yards out, said we cant hit it that far. people in front had 3 open holes in front of them, he confronted us and said nothing to them. tee boxes wer…

Dear Hell’s Point managementTeam, I am writing to share about the unacceptable treatment my family and I received at your driving range yesterday. We were visiting the area and I called approximately 20 minutes in advance to confirm that we could use the driving range. I was told that it was open and we were welcome to come. Upon arrival, I parked and unloaded my four children along with my 76-year-old father. As soon as we got out of the car, the manager as he stated he was. Informed me that the range was closed because the system was down. When I offered to pay in cash, I was told “no” and i…

Let me start by saying, I bought the $99 membership and have played about 12 rounds this year. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. I played a few rounds before and knew the condition of the course before I bought. Now that I have that out of the way. We have played nine during the weeknights several times this year and have never had a problem with our wives riding along. Nor have we had a problem playing our choice of front or back nine. Last night, the gentleman in the pro shop "Mike" wanted to exert his authority for some reason and charge us a rider fee for the wives. He has been there o…

The courses and staff are nice. Great scenery, to include some local wildlife like bunnies, turtles, geese and even a water moccasin. I am not a great golfer by any means but this course was a great balance of class and approachable.

This could be a nice golf course. It is clearly neglected. Overgrown cart paths, tee boxes with just dirt. Bunkers that had not seen a rake in weeks. AND it was 60 dollars during the week? The starter set the tone. A young man that just seemed to be there for a check. When I asked what golf cart to use, he seemed annoyed and said he would get us one in a minute. When it was our time to start, there was no direction. I had no idea where the first tee was, and he didn't seem too concerned if we had no idea where to go. I have played for 25 years now...this would be a good place for 25 bucks...…

This used to be my favorite golf course. I have pictures what it used to be in 2022 and it was amazing, well kept but it has really gone down hill. I bought a membership but went maybe 2 times this year due to the condition of the golf course.

Tee boxes are dirt, greens are unmaintained, many bunkers don’t have rakes, no marshalls were there when I played so pace of play was abysmal. The course layout has potential if you fire every single person who works there.

I was very disappointed in the condition of this course considering the $65 price. Every tee box was torn up and there were tons of bare spots all over the place. As other reviews have said, they are really weird about the golf carts too. They don’t seem to want to give out the keys or let you start loading your bags until right at tee time. It was strange. For the same price, you can go a mile down the road to Heron Ridge, which is much nicer.

We love this golf course and we play here as much as possible. We bought the annual membership pass for $99 and play 18 any day for $25-$29 (includes cart). The membership also allows you to book 2 weeks in advance.

As if the recent influx of bad reviews wasn’t enough, be prepared to not be able to use the cart you rented until you are taking off to play. Wouldn’t bother getting the overpriced range balls because for #1 the machine took my coin and if they’re hadn’t been an employee standing there god knows if they would’ve believed me. Then the range. Nothing good, four poles in a field. No flags to aim at no targets. Just a field. Was rushed off the range by the starter so I didn’t even get the full bucket hit. The tees are hard to find a level spot to shoot from. The fairways have mushrooms and crabgra…
