Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course

A nice municipal course with some mild hills and sand traps. With the course next to the airport, you have a plane land real close. Staff were nice on course and pro ship. Club house looks new and has nice snack bar. Sandwiches and be beverages are available. Driving range and putty green are nice. Fairways are green. The greens are fair. I would enjoy playing here if I lived here. Carts and cart paths are nice.

Great course just outside Fredericksburg. Worth the 45min drive from SA medical center area. Came on a Thur 7AM. Flew along the front 9, then hit a mens group that started on 14the hole. A little waiting in beginning but then all moved along pretty good. Thanks to Yolanda in clubhouse and all the greens keepers and workers that do a great job out here.

Visiting Fredericksburg this weekend and played here. Beautifully kept course, very well maintained. All staff were pleasant and helpful! Not too crowded but a steady flow of people playing.

Lady Bird made awesome accommodations for my high schooler and his friends after some miscommunication on rates their previous round. Staff was very friendly and helped them coordinate their tee times the next weekend. Course is in great shape. We will definitely be back.

I’ve played many courses and this one is top notch. Beautiful course and AWESOME staff. Greens and fairways are in great shape. Also had a lesson from Club Golf Pro Chris Meade and he was very helpful and informative. If you’re ever in the area I would highly recommend this course. Seeing all the deer and other wildlife while playing was an added bonus.

This was my first time playing here. The clubhouse and restaurant are well worth a look around and grabbing some food. The carts are GPS enabled and even come with a radio and Bluetooth speaker. The driving range is well marked, but it is not near the pros shop. The course was in pretty good shape with a few dry spots here and there. The greens were very good. But hard!! Many of the greens are elevated and if you miss ..get ready to pull out the lob wedge! The course can be tight in certain places and wide open in others.

Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course in Fredericksburg, Texas, is a beautiful golf course with stunning scenery. However, my experience was tarnished by the aweful behavior of the golf director, Chris Meade. He is, without a doubt, the most unprofessional person I’ve ever had to deal with. From the moment I walked into the golf shop, he was rude and condescending, making me feel small and belittled. Beautiful course. Saw lots of deer, ducks, and an airplane take off from the airport. Greens in great shape and a good mix of wide open fairways, hills, water, and challenging holes. They also have an option for only 9 holes for the later tee times which is nice.

Good layout and the course was in good condition for being late June. The experience was great and everyone was helpful and friendly. Carts include GPS and Bluetooth speaker for music. Club house has a bar and food as well. Will definitely pack my clubs again when we plan on going back to visit Fredericksburg.

One of the most interesting courses in this area and not particularly hard but challenging enough to make you want to come back and do better.

Beautiful!! Absolutely loved the course. The front 9 is way prettier than the back but still no complaints. Didn't try any food or drinks but the club house is really nice and they sell anything you need. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We visited for a golf class with Chris, he was amazing - great for beginners especially. Grounds are beautiful, staff are kind. Overall we had a great experience.
