In summary

Lago Vista Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic views, diverse elevation changes, and friendly staff, making it an enjoyable experience for many golfers. The course layout offers unique challenges, and the wildlife adds to the charm. However, there are frequent concerns about the condition of the greens and fairways, with some visitors noting that maintenance issues detract from the overall experience.

Nice open course! Tee boxes, fairways, and greens needed some work, but for the price it wasn’t bad at all. Some of the elevation holes were really fun

Got a Groupon for 2 green fees, cart, range balls. First the ladies at the clubhouse were very professional and nice. The clubhouse food was a little pricey. The course layout was amazing. We are not avid golfers - just like getting out for fun. The area haven’t received any rain in a long while so the fairways were very rough. The greens were ok. But it was all made up by the amazing scenery. The elevation was wild. The wild deer was fun. There could be a couple hundred feet difference from tee box to pin. Easily the most fun golfing I’ve ever had.

I came here with some friends to golf. We had an amazing time even though it was super hot. It’s a very hilly golf course with beautiful views. You will get to see some wild life such as deer. They not too afraid of humans either. All there golf carts gas powered. I couldn’t imagine an electric golf cart surging the hills. The greens and fairways are not perfectly well kept. But you will still have an amazing time out here. Depending on where you live, driving to this place can be a fun drive as well.

nice course- good price. Lots of hills and trees. Great variety of topography in fairways and greens. Couple greens were in rough shape but the deer probably give them lots of trouble. All in all, fun course. 9th hole is a unique year lol. 15th tee box at sunset pictured.

Really nice course !! Has some challenges and the view was fantastic. The pro staff was great and friendly along with the Marshals on the course. We eat in the restaurant and had Philly Cheesesteak which as out of this world BUT the seasoning on the sweet potato fries made the meal complete !! It was sooo good forgot to take pictures. Will be back to play and eat!! Thanks guys for a wonderful Saturday playing golf !!

I really enjoyed playing this course this weekend. Tee boxes were sanded but you can tell they are putting the time and effort to get it nice. The fairways were nice for this time of the year. A couple greens had their bad spots but nothing to complain about. Beautiful view of the lake on well cant remember the hole. Just becareful theres house all around. I was saved by a fence a couple times. Lol but all in all. Nice and is only getting nicer. Oh food was really good at club house.

Better than the last time I played last year. Greens that were under construction were all fixed up. Fairway in better shape (but may change when the hot season kicks in). However a few middle holes’ greens still having mold, sand issues. Because of the challenging qualify of greens, making a good put to finish is difficult. But good course, enjoyed playing. Lay down any huge expectations and you’ll be fine :-)

ok I'm not usually one to gripe but this was a little on the ridiculous side. it's a freakin golf course on a tuesday. Whole restaurant/bar, fills up 5 mins after we walk in and from that point...mayhem. $103 later my drinks weren't great, the poor woman working the floor was overwhelmed, and my food was....ugh. charge more, do better, especitally in this economy! And in case you're wondering what I ordered, this is the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes...the other greasy thing in the corner well that remains to be identified!

Great staff, walkers welcome, scenic views, but greens need work * Very Friendly staff * Ranger keeps pace of play good for quick rounds. * Stunning views of Lake Travis from many holes. * Greens need improvement, but the course has potential. Overall, it's a good course with some room for improvement. I'd recommend waiting a few months to play after the greens have matured.

This course is sad. 2-3 years ago this was one of my favorite courses in the Austin metro area. Quiet and beautiful, it had its flaws but it was still an amazing course for the price of around 35 bucks. Today was my first time playing in about 2 years, since they started to redo the greens on 9,18, and a few others. The greens at that point, while in the process of being redone, would be exponentially better than what is left now. All 18 need redone. Not a single fairway could be distinguished between the rough and every person working seemed to be on edge except the guy in the pro shop. Looki…

Do not waste your time, money, and golf sanity on this goat track. Absolutely abysmal conditions. More dust than west Texas at this course. They aren’t even trying at this place, charging anything other than free.99 should be illegal.

Worst course I have played on. It is old, run down, greens are all chewed up with sand pits in the middle of them. The tee boxes are in rough shape. Would not recommend!
