In summary

Landings at Spirit Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained greens and open layout, making it a suitable choice for both beginners and seasoned players. The course is noted for its lush conditions and friendly atmosphere, with some visitors highlighting the quality of the bar service and practice facilities. However, there are frequent complaints about the staff's attitude, slow pace of play, and occasional issues with course maintenance, such as unannounced greens work and unplayable fairways.

Today was my first time playing this course and I tied my record low round. This course is in great shape. Green and lush. The greens are soft and receptive. Yes, it could be a little cheaper, but they had lots of employees working on the course to make it a great experience. I will be back!

Today was my first time at this course & will be my last. Highly do not recommend coming here. It started off fine. Paid for 18 holes and the cart. Got to the first hole with my group and were harassed by the ranger. He held us up so long he made us forfit our first hole. Then by the second hole he came over and told us we needed to hurry up while we were actively teeing up and trying to play. Our first scramble team of 3 played and moved forward and then he came over to our second group of 3 and told us if we weren’t done with 9 after 2 hours we were kicked out. It definitely felt like we we…

Paid for 18 holes they said be in by 6:45, and at 6:40 as my 4 stack is finishing up our last hole the ranger blasts an air horn at us and threatens to call the cops cause quote “I want to go home” as other golfers are actively golfing. Absolutely ridiculous to stop us mid hole while we still had 5 minutes to report to the club house and when we offered to walk it he threatened to call the cops again.

This course is in the worst shape I’ve ever seen. The fairways are non-existent. Tee boxes and greens were decent. Course needs a ton of work before I’d consider playing there again.

came out here on my birthday with some buddies, course wasn’t in good shape. They wouldn’t let us get a cart even though we are all above 17. which made around very slow and we had people on our ass the whole time. overall, very regretful way to spend my birthday would not recommend.

Open forgiving public course. Family friendly. Decent prices. Links style. Wide open. Great for beginners. Grounds are well maintained. Great Bloody Mary's and good bar service. No goodie cart girls. Greens were fast. Pro shop has some essentials.. balls, hats, gloves. Small driving range on property and putting green. Generally a busy course but the Marshalls do a good job keeping play moving.

The good: The course is usually in great condition, the grass is always cut nice, the greens are in good shape, and the fairways are open. The bad: The course can play long, so if you’re new to golf, this will be challenging. The hole placement on the greens are usually incredibly difficult. As if the guy creating the hole placement woke up in a bad mood and decided to take it out of the golfers. I’ve learn to read these greens better and instead of 4 putting, I can usually 2 putt. The staff and manager are incredibly rude. I got screwed over because of one of their Pro Shop guys, Frank, not…

One of our favorite public golf courses in STL. The course was in great shape and the folks that work there are always super nice. There’s not much trouble to get into, but there are certainly a few tough holes. Very walkable if it’s not full-on summer.

I played here yesterday with three other people...women. We waited at least 5 to 10 minutes at every hole to tee off. That was no problem...it was a nice day, the course was crowded and we were fine with waiting a little. About halfway through the back nine a twosome behind us starting hitting into us. We told them that we were waiting on every hole. They started yelling at us and threatened to drive around us (there was nowhere them to go.) We told them that again and one of the men started yelling at us saying that we were "full of shit." We just went on and yes they kept hitting into us. It…

Have been playing here for a couple of years. Hospitality is the best it's ever been, but conversely the condition of the course is at its worst, and they are charging more than ever for it. Greens are marred by ball marks, causing untrue rolls, which sucks because the greens are the main teeth of the course. Some fairways are good, others have areas that you can take unplayable drops from. The good news is that they have a great practice area for chipping, putting, and a range. If they closed the course an hour early and repaired ball marks, the overall experience would be better. Until then,…

Usually easy course. 1st cut of rough was so tall, you could not find your ball. I lost 5 but found 8 just by looking. I understand 2 cut being tall, but come on. Plus, it was cart path only for no reason. Added about a hour to the round.

Nice condition course, but so-so experience. Called to book a tee time the day prior. Got my time, no problems. Arrived to check-in and was advised that they were doing greens maintenance on the front 9. So we start on the back 9, which greens had just been punched, and finish on the front 9 which was using "temporary greens" meaning no putting. Just a flag in the fairway with a circle around it to hit to. Still payed full price of $60/person (Wednesday.) Their calendar doesn't show when greens maintenance is, and there was no mention of it when I booked over the phone, and no discount for it,…
