In summary

Little River Golf & Resort is appreciated for its friendly staff, affordable prices, and well-designed golf course layout, though opinions on course conditions vary, with some finding them satisfactory and others noting areas needing improvement. The resort offers clean accommodations and enjoyable amenities like a pool and walking trails, but some visitors mention the dated appearance of the facilities and challenges with events management. While the breakfast buffet and banquet facilities receive positive feedback, there are concerns about the closure of the golf course and the lack of a restaurant or bar on-site.

Breakfast buffet is off the charts. Golf course is shut down. Hope they get an investor for that. Place is clean, safe, affordable, and has a excellent pool. Plenty of grills around too. Friendly staff. ABC there. Walking trails awesome.

Course was in great shape. Weather was less than perfect the whole weekend so greens were a little soft but rolled true. Fairways perfect. Beautiful course, very nice design. Stayed in the villas with 3 friends and absolutely loved the place. The Clubhouse was clean, breakfast in the morning was hot and delicious. Rooms were not 4 star resort type but very adequate. We went in mid-September and saw very few people. Matter of fact, in the villa we stayed in there was only 3 other rooms occupied and they were all one group. Don't know how they can stay open with such small occupancy but I hope…

in the middle of nowhere very rude loud guests after hours, even the carpet looks very 1990s burn marks and rips every where not a real classy vibe and the golf course closed years ago not worth the price point at all kind of a rip off..... plus no restaraunt nor bar on site

It had been many years since I had played this course (probably 15 or 20 years) and I had fond memories of it from those prior experiences. The layout is still great, but the conditioning has slipped a little after having played it twice in three months. However, the staff is super great and the prices are terrific. I also want to be clear that the conditions weren't by any means bad in any way, just less pristine than they used to be. I still love playing this course and will make the 50 minute drive a few times next year to play it again. A great value!

This is a wonderful little hidden gem. We've had our work Christmas party there for the last 2 years. The food is fantastic, the space is wonderful ( and decorated), the staff is friendly and attentive. I would recommend their banquet facilities to anyone looking for an affordable yet impressive place for a dinner/party gathering.

Absolutely not worth the $48 we paid. Average at best. Course is in fading conditions. Half of the greens are burnt and brown dirt patches on them. Decent layout. But if in Pinehurst - there are so, so many better courses to choose from. We talked to a few locals while waiting on a par 3 tee box and they said they are going to change the greens and types of grass. Apparently the grass they use now, just can't handle the hot summers. Maybe this place was nice before. Maybe it will be nice again once course/greens are redone. But right now... this place is worth $25 per round. Not a penny more.

The most horrible place to ever have a wedding. Karen was the rudest human being on the planet along with the staff. Apparently the people who gave this place a good review didn’t have to deal with her and she’s the owner. We had our bags off to the side and the staff went through them. They booked another venue the same time as ours when ours was books months in advance. During the wedding, she walked around with an angry face and word dirty tennis shoes and goodwill clothing. Absolutely horrible! Stay away if you want good customer service. Never ever have a wedding here. Karen should find a…

We are always looking for the best venues and quality vendors to refer to our clients at LK Productions DJ Entertainment Company. We worked with the Chef/ Wedding Coordinator Steven Fore and his team at Little River Golf & Resort in Carthage NC. On the day of the wedding, the staff was very organized and accommodating. Highly recommend for weddings and private parties. Great Teamwork & Customer Service!

Played here 8/9/18. Greens were some of the worst I've seen, more barren spots and weeds than actual grass on at least half of the greens. Their clubhouse looked really nice but their grill wasn't even open to enjoy it. Fairways and rough were ok, but just seems like they let this course go.

The golf course is a pretty solid design, great looks from the tee are provided, I wouldn't try and walk the course as the green to tee connections require long walks. Putting surfaces we're in ok shape, tee boxes were a mess in spots, bunkers had very little sand. Newly renovated clubhouse entrace and restaurant looked nice but I did not eat there. not my first choice for golf in the area but worth a try.

A great place for a golf vacation for you and 3 or more buddies (we had 16). Friendly personal service, good breakfast and pool to cool off. Loved it.

This is my second time playing this course. Again the whole property has a very dated/old feeling to it, like its glory days are behind it. The course has a very good layout, especially the back 9 but the conditions are just average for the pinehurst area. For the golfnow deals it is worth it but not even close for rack rates.
