In summary

Lochmere Golf Club is often praised for its friendly staff, well-maintained greens, and overall pleasant golfing experience, making it a popular choice for both casual and serious golfers. The course layout is generally appreciated for its balance of challenge and accessibility, with some players noting improvements in their game. However, recurring issues such as slow pace of play and occasional maintenance inconsistencies, particularly with tee boxes and fairways, are noted by some visitors. Additionally, while the club offers a welcoming atmosphere, there are isolated reports of dissatisfaction with customer service and course management.

Played 3/5/26. Staff was friendly. Course wasn’t in great shape. It was CPO and didn’t need to be. Course was wet but not soggy. Maybe a few of the holes should’ve been CPO, but not all. Found it overpriced @ $60. Hotdogs are $11. Crazy. Fun course. Maybe it is better when the grass is green. Tee boxes were in bad shape.

Lockmere Golf Club: A Solid Round with Room to Grow Lockmere Golf Club offers a pleasant golfing experience with well-kept fairways and greens that make the game enjoyable for players of all skill levels. The course has a nice balance of challenge and accessibility, with holes that require strategy without being overly punishing. The staff are friendly and welcoming, ready to help with tee times, carts, or course guidance. The facilities are clean and organized, and the clubhouse provides a comfortable spot to relax before or after your round. On the downside, some areas of the course could us…

Great nice and relatively easy course for high to mid handicap golfers. I played for a the first time with a friend and scored my best there, so they sure deserve a 5 ⭐️ for that. One thing to notice, they aerating the greens when we played, so it was pretty slow, so make sure you check with their staff before booking if you prefer high quality greens. 🏌🏻‍♂️🏌🏻‍♂️🏌🏻‍♂️

It's a good course in good conditions and the price is good but the pace of play is god awful. I know they need to make money but tee times every 6/8 minutes just backs everything up. Had 3 groups waiting on a single hole at one point(pictured). I've played here a couple of times and this happens every time.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Pace of play is awful. There is a group on every single hole in front of us on the front 9. While on the back there is no playin. Just poor management up front. I play here all the time and have never said anything but it’s ridiculous now. Change something up fellas.

The course is absolutely drenched in water from the light rain we had over the weekend. I had no idea a golf course could get this soggy from that amount of rain given we've had sunshine now for a couple of days. I hate cart path only holes and of course the entire course was cart path only today. Extremely disappointing.

We showed up to our tee time 10 minutes early. There were 3 groups in front of us because the starter has bad time management and we waited our turn until the 3 groups in front of us hit. When we got to the front, the starter told us we were late and that he couldn’t fit us in. He then wouldn’t allow us to hit for whole hour (I timed it) because “there was no room in the list” for us. The starters either need to be properly trained or get rid of them in general. I play every weekend with my buddies and we are completely respectful to everyone on the course because we understand how hard course…

I played here with a group of friends and had the best, most welcoming experience. Brent took special care of us and even had our names on the carts ready to go!

Lochmere golf course offers a pleasant experience with its friendly staff and no membership requirement. It provides affordability and features nice shady trees that add to the enjoyment, especially during the hot summer sun. However, the maintenance quality falls short, impacting its overall value for money. The greens are average, and some fairways require attention, while the bunkers lack proper sand maintenance. Despite these drawbacks, it still stands as a preferable choice over Knights Play in RTP.

Absolutely phenomenal course. Well designed and maintained, greens are in excellent shape, and staff are extremely friendly. I've often booked to play here without a group and have enjoyed the company of both the members and guests with whom I've played. My handicap has improved substantially playing this course over the last 6 months and I look forward to getting out for a round again soon. Pricing is very reasonable for the high quality of course and overall experience.

Nice course but 6.5+ hour rate of play is unacceptable. Crammed too many people back to back to make money. 20+ minute holes only because waiting at the tee box for 10 min in between. 1:15 tee time and had to quit at 6PM at hole 14.
