What People Say

In summary

Eagle Ridge Golf Club is frequently praised for its challenging and well-maintained course, with lush fairways and a unique layout that offers a variety of par configurations. The staff is often described as friendly, and the facilities, including clean bathrooms and a community center with events, add to the positive experience. However, some visitors express concerns about the pace of play, difficulty in securing tee times, and the condition of the driving range, which is noted to have limited grass and restricted hours.

The nicest of the Fred Smith courses, really nice track. I believe Tom Kite was a designer. Fairways are lush, rough is thick and sand is soft. You have to be in the fairway, hit it into the rough a few times and 3 people couldn't find it because the grass was so thick. Par 5s are really tough to get on in 2, some holes are really tight because of the houses. Hole 10 is probably one of the hardest par 5s I've played, not long just hard to navigate. If you haven't played here it is definitely worth the trip.

We did 18 holes. It was a really nice course. Staff at the restaurant and bar super friendly & Super nice. All the bathrooms on the course and at the facilities we're very clean. The course had some great views and was really nice with the fall leaf change. Definitely recommend this course.

At first, I thought it was a great deal, but there’s 0 money put into the course. The tee boxes are all dirt, and hard as concrete. The golf carts are EV and can’t drive off the cart path the majority of the time. It’s constantly busy. Takes at least 4hours to play 18. I thought the south would have nice courses, being that they’re open year round, but far from. They’re either all private or semi-private. Courses in Wisconsin that are public, are just as nice as the private courses here; maybe nicer. Oh well, live and learn. Oh, and the driving range has maybe 2.5% of actual grass to hit off o…

Becoming a member at Eagle was a no brainer. The guys in the clubhouse are always friendly, money is continuously being put into the course, and the course itself is fun and challenging. Would definitely put it as one of the better public courses in the Triangle, and a great value when compared to some of the other rates.

This is an excellent golf course. I will only say, don't walk it. It's not for the faint of heart. The course is challenging, risk reward course. I always enjoy playing here.

Easy to create a tee time online and a decent deal with a cart yet high for the course conditions. Played on a warm day in early March and the course was still dormant. Greens rolled nicely. Course layout was challenging and some course knowledge or GPS would have helped. Biggest disappointment was the pace of play. Some groups of 4 with three carts, 2 walkers with a cart, then a single, then 2 doubles. a number of backups on a few of the tee boxes. Will need to try another time when in season and perhaps not as busy.

The general manager of this course should take a hard look at the driving range. Just found out that Monday nights are for Members Only and Wednesday the range is closed for some reason. Also, it is probably the only golf course in the area where you are still hitting off of mat's and not grass. The course is nice but the overall experience, especially with the driving range, brings it down several notches.

Very disappointed. We booked a golf outing 6 months ago for our neighborhood (20+ people) We called to confirm today ( We also confirmed this July). They said someone removed the block of tee times. This now leaves us scrambling to find another course. What is the point of booking anything at this course if they are just going to remove it with no explanation. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I was interested in looking at this course for potential membership. I was pretty disappointed after talking to the person that I was referred to, I thought he was the club pro. I currently belong to a private golf club, but not enthused about the course. I thought for well less than half of what I was paying for the private club, Eagle Ridge might be an alternative. During my conversation, I almost felt (well, not almost, but actually did) feel like I was being discouraged from joining. He kept talking about how difficult the course was and that as a member you can make tee times 2 weeks in…

I played afternoon of 7/26 as a single. This was my first time at this course, I was in town for business and had some time to explore a new course. I really liked the layout. I’m a always a fan of courses that go against the norm and offer a different # of par 3s/5s, and this course certainly delivers on that. I managed 3 birdies which for me is great, although the two eagle putts I missed on 9 and 17 were disappointing, especially #17, I hit a Hybrid from 225 to about 10 feet or so. Anyways, the greens were still in recovery mode from being punched. They rolled true but were pretty slow, the…

This is my home course, but my reviews are unbiased. Over the several years of me playing here, it's gone through changes, some for the better and some because of nature. They're currently aerating, but this will be focused on normal conditions. Tee Boxes 3/5 - You can definitely tell which tee boxes are frequented by the wear and tear. I haven't heard any plans to address as of yet. Some tee boxes are just trashed. Fairways 5/5 - The grass is nice, and shots will roll out well, which can put you into trouble on some holes, so plan accordingly. Greens 4/5 - There is one green (#2) that has…
