A bit out of the way but I think it adds to the charm. At first approach it doesn't knock your socks off, the driving range was rough. The club house is a small building, the parking lot is tight. BUT the practice green is in great shape and the staff is the friendliest anywhere near the Greenville/Spartanburg area. The greens all were in great shape albeit a bit slower than expected (today), the fairways were all well manicured, the tee boxes were good and flat for the most part. The rough is definitely thicker than most other courses in the area. The carts are basic but quick. I loved the l…

Peaceful and well kept course. It was ideal for a few high handicap golfers to have a fun round. Nice greens and the fall leaves were cleaned up so well that only very errant shots could be lost.

Possibly one of the most peaceful golf courses I have played...This is a great course for great value! I played here this past weekend. The front 9 is a great warm up, a little bit more open, but the back 9 becomes a bit more challenging - got to hit your spots on the back. Definitely worth giving Meadowbrook a try if you're in the area.

What a hidden gem! Course is exactly halfway from my oldest son’s house and mine. An hour and a half for both of us. This is a perfect way for us to get in a round when we have time. In fantastic shape and a great layout. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Hot dogs were as good as other commenters said. Can’t wait to come back for another visit!

Great course at a good price. Everyone in the pro shop are always friendly and helpful. The greens are some of my favorite I’ve ever played. Putts roll true and are pretty fast. Also greens are usually really receptive. Enjoy playing here.

UPDATE******* I played the course a few day’s later and it was better. The front 9 was perfect. The course had a lot of people playing but we all played at a perfect pace. The back 9 got Jammed up again but that is to be expected on Sunday. I love the course. Met my Sunday expectations. The course is in pretty good shape. From the tips it is long and the course is challenging. The only reason it gets three stars is because of the extreme slow play. It appears to be Senior members, but they could care less how many people they are holding up. If this were a Sunday, I would completely understan…

Staff in clubhouse are warm & friendly. Course was in pretty good shape. My one negative was the greens, only because lot of ball marks, which is shameful on the players. The greens had good rolls despite the marks. Rough was challenging but added to good fairway play. Would like to see the hint markers on all the hole signs (nice touch for visitors & helpful too). Clubhouse is small, but hey, they do offer those hotdogs and snacks 👍 Overall enjoyed our time even in patchy weather conditions. We'll be back for sure. ☺️

Alright folks, gather 'round your old man and let pops tell ya 'bout a real gem I unearthed down yonder in Rutherfordton, North Carolina – Meadowbrook Golf Club! This place is the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas, the... well, it's just a darn fine place to swing some sticks! Took the ol' reliable station wagon down there last weekend – had to escape the ever-growing "honey-do" list, know what I mean? wink wink. And let me tell you, Meadowbrook was just what the doctor ordered. Pulled up, smelled that fresh-cut grass – better than potpourri, am I right? The place looked welcoming, not intimidati…

I golf here quite frequently and I am appalled at what I witnessed yesterday on the golf course with golfers around. People on golf carts with shotguns baiting and shooting wide geese. WITH GOLFERS ON NEARLY EVERY HOLE!!! Never in my 40 years of being on a golf course have I witnessed such behavior. Very dangerous and disrespectful

Love this course. There’s something for everyone. Need to really think about all your shots. Layout is very interesting. Fairways are decent and greens are in good condition. The staff is SUPER friendly. Pace of play is good. I usually play mid week and you can play in about 3 hours.

I live in the mountains of NC where the weather isn't always warm enough in the winter to play golf, so I travel to the foothills to play when it's cold. I played Meadowbrook on 1/6/23 and it was well worth the 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there! I joined up with a couple locals and couldn't have asked for nicer guys... The course rolls up and down and water comes into play on several holes. The fairways are pretty generous but you have to think your way around the course. The greens were in excellent shape and rolled true, but they have subtle breaks that can only be learned by playing the co…
