In summary

Pine Hollow Golf Course is highly regarded for its immaculate condition, with fast and true greens, a challenging and scenic layout, and well-maintained bunkers. The staff is generally praised for their friendliness and accommodating nature, and the course offers good amenities, including GPS-equipped carts and a well-stocked clubhouse. However, some visitors have noted issues with the pace of play and occasional lackluster service from staff, which detracts slightly from the overall experience.

I’m a 13 handicap & played the course today (Nov 23,2025). The course was in really good condition considering the time of year with most southern course grasses going dormant. The greens were firm, fast, and smooth; some of the best greens I’ve played this year; very nice! The bunkers (yeah, I found a few) were very well maintained as well, freshly raked with no pebbles or rocks in them; proper sand too! The layout was nice, really good track! Well worth your time to play! Highly recommend this course.

Absolutely loved my experience at Pine Hollow Golf Club! The course is in immaculate condition—easily one of the best in North Carolina. Every hole offers a great mix of challenge and beauty. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole day even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Another incredible trip to a beautiful course for the guys. The staff was incredibly accommodating, the course was in mint condition, and the pace of play was easy breezy. If you want an approachable course with challenging greens, this is your spot for your next scramble. Beware of the transfusions, they have a generous amount of vodka.

The course has got to be in the top 3 public courses in the triangle. The greens are in great shape; they roll true and they roll fast! The holes are very well designed. If you're local, you should check this place out if you haven't. If you're visiting, don't pass up the opportunity to play a great course.

Great and challenging course with phenomenal staff! Hole 17 will make you either love or hate golf, but made for some great memories in our group. Highly recommended if you are in the area or looking to travel to NC!

As a 14 handicap that plays every week our group plays this course about 10 times a year. As a right hander that likes to play a fade I can tell you that the course sets up more for someone who plays a regular draw But it is still extremely fun The greens are almost always in some of the best condition that we see the course has holes that reward precision and it has some holes that reward distance it's really a good mix I believe they play a US Open qualifier here almost each year and let me tell you the week after that the course is extremely tough

Really a fantastic layout. Great mix of challenging (#2, #4, #8, #11, #17, #18) and get-able holes (#1, #6, #11, #12, #16). The greens are fast but incredibly consistent. Photos below are of #2, #8, and #10. Pictures don't do it justice, there's actually a fair amount of undulation on this course. Would definitely play again.

Amazing course. Great layout, well maintained, and fast greens. First time playing there as it’s hard to get a tee time and there’s a damn good reason why. Especially for $40! Only bad thing is it can be a bit slow out there.

Overall course is in good shape yes I could Nick pick at certain things. The two things that need to be addressed are pace of play. First time here a month ago we left after 9 holes and that was three hours. This time better but way too many twosomes not being paired together. Second and major issue is witnessing the golf shop attendant JC drinking on the job. Comes over to the grill and pours himself a Jim beam and Pepsi and returns to the front counter. If that’s allowed by him then who else is drinking on the job

Every time I’m in North Carolina, Pine Hollow is a must. The fairways are lush and the greens are pure. Carts are amazing with the GPS built in. All of the staff are soooo friendly and the club makes the best breakfast biscuits I think I’ve ever had. Would give 6 stars if I could.

I love this course. Its a hidden gem that has it all. IDC if you're beginer or advanced, you'll have fun playing round.

I had a great time playing at this golf course. The greens are amazing. The staff is courteous and very friendly. They now have new golf carts with GPS that give you distances to the pins with pinpoint accuracy from almost anywhere on the fairways. I will be playing there again!
