Wendell Country Club

Completely shocked people are giving this course a 5 star or even 4 stars. The layout is good with fun routing. It’s fairly short and very playable. The staff was very nice and friendly. The problem is greens (many greens should be basically taken out of play and repaired). Green speed is inconsistent- albeit slow and grainy. The pace of play is fairly slow - the one picture is of four groups on 10th tee. And to Charge over $50 for a course that I think should be closed for a few months and totally repaired seems highway robbery. 🫤

Very slow pace. It seems they make everyone go off in foursomes so we had to wait a while for people in-front of us. We were paired with another couple who were very nice but would’ve liked to been able to play with my significant other alone. The fairways were so narrow and the front 9 was very compact. You better be able to hit the ball straight because if you slice it, you’ll be in another fairway. The greens were incredibly fast and not forgiving at all. Lots of water hazards. GPS restricted cart access. Overall, it was okay, but not sure if I’ll be going back.

Very reasonably priced and fun layout. Fairways and greens were in great shape. A couple holes with water but pretty wide open. Greens were quick and don't break as much as you think. If you can get familiar with the course you should be able to score.

A friend and I played in the two day tournament on 8/23-34. The course was in good shape with a few repairs underway. The staff were awesome and added to the experience. Preston, the starter, aided in a successful day by priming our initial beer run. Would recommend this course and high five to their staff. Had a blast this weekend.

Played this course on Monday afternoon for $29 for 18 holes with a cart. I was impressed with the price and overall condition of the course. Most of the greens were also in good shape. It is not terribly long, but the layout can be challenging at times and some greens are two tiered. A fun little gem in Wendell. I will definitely be back to play again this season.

Played in the WCC invitational over the weekend and it was a blast. All the staff were so accommodating and appreciative to all the guys that came out to play. Mr. Preston in particular showed us stellar service as he brought us some refreshments as we were coming off #2 green. Awesome golf club. Great group of guys.

Nice course. Don't enjoy starting me off without being asked if we want to pair up. Other than that the clubhouse , the grill, the greens and course well worth it.

Great course! Good customer service! I was glad to see a Ranger out there controlling a busy day of golfers! I hope that is the norm. Nice greens and decent pace of play. Really enjoyed holes 4, 8, 9, 10 & 15! Will definitely be back!

Let me tell you something... Talk about a fantastic atmosphere, everyone here is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. As someone who is new to the sport I feel nothing but welcoming vibes either from the check in desk, round starter, & the grill. Fantastic people offering fantastic service with a smile! As far as the course goes its in great shape. Tee boxes are well maintained, fairways are obvious and kept up, and the greens are very nice (my amateur self thought they were turf at first LOL). They have a small but nice warm-up driving range to get loose & a very nice putting green as well.…

An easy course: fairway is narrow, not much hazard. Fairway grass not maintained well but green condition is good and challenging. Overall, it's a fun course.

The course itself was decent, most of the tee boxes were pretty solid which made it pretty difficult to place a tee in the ground. My overall experience was far from positive. I wasn’t aware that arriving an hour early for a tee time was an unspoken requirement to keep the staff satisfied. As it was my first time at this course, I was unfamiliar with the layout and unsure where the first hole began. Rather than being offered assistance, I was abruptly yelled at by an older staff member that starts you off at hole one. He mispronounced my name and spoke to me in a condescending tone, as if I we…

Nice little hidden gem of a course. Course was in great shape and the greens were in better shape than most courses in the area. Also my buddy Phillip won the long drive contest, he was very excited 😂😂
