In summary

Garner Country Club is appreciated for its affordable pricing, straightforward layout, and well-maintained 9-hole course, making it a good option for casual golfers and beginners. However, some visitors have reported issues with slow pace of play, particularly due to large groups, and have experienced unfriendly interactions with staff. The club operates on a cash-only basis and does not offer tee time reservations, which can lead to availability challenges during busy periods.

This place is great. People complaining about the course are a bunch of golf snobs

If you don’t mind hearing racial slurs and the smell of cigarettes the course is a C+ at best, if you do mind don’t come to this course, also I second the other comments about playing behind a group of 8 people, I was a solo, took me 3 hours to get through 9 holes

Nice 9 hole course. It has some really tough holes & narrow fairways. The greens were smooth & very fast. The bunkers had nice sand. It wasn't very busy when we teed off,but it got busier as the weather improved. They only have snacks & drinks & don't accept credit cards but have an on-site ATM.

Great people, nice view. Respectable owner. Good prices too. Happy community, hoping to visit again soon with the son who likes playing golf with his father. God bless.

There are pretty much no real reviews or information on this place, so I’m going to write one. This is a 9 hole course in garner, with blue, white, gold and red tees available. It isn’t overly long, it’s around 6k from the blues, and if you decide to play 18, there is a “special” way to play the tee boxes. This place has no website, no online presence really at all. If you want information, you HAVE to call the course. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, and the guy who rang me up was helpful in explaining the course and some tips/tricks for each hole. I played on a Tuesday afternoon, and paid…

1st time going to this course and also my last. Very easy to get turned around due to no having a map. Staff was also unpolite and trying to rush you due to not having enough carts and to many people trying to play at once.

Probably the worst course Ive ever played. Got behind a group of about 8 members who were playing together The first hole is absolutely horrible then I thinks it either 6 or 7 that is the worst. If they gave me the green fee I would not play their.

$50 for 18 with a cart. Not in the slightest bit worth it. The cart path is holding on for dear life, the tee boxes are grassless, and the members act like are so much better than you, so rude. They let these “members” tee off 6-8 guys at a time. Not to mention this course only has nine holes.

A 9 hole course, they only take cash. It is $15 to play during the week which is excellent. However, on the weekends, it is $50 to play 18.

Well maintained 9 Hole gem. Tee boxes are a B+, the greens B-, carts even have an ash tray so they get a B+ too. Enjoyed the round $15 to play 9 on a Wed 11am. Only saw one other group playing. Yes, will play this course again. Overall rating B+

I have played here a few times. It's a fun little course to play by yourself and it's in decent shape for what it is. However, some of the people in the club house are very rude and disrespectful. I by no means am the best golfer but I probably have a handicap of 15 to 20 and can hit a 250yrd drive.... there was a group of 5 and a single in front of me. Then a group of 3 after. On the first hole the group of 5 is just getting on the green. The single is around 300yrds from the tee box and the group of 3 are on the practice green with the club house manager. As I am waiting on the tee box the m…

Little old man completely ruined first golfing experience. From the start he was rude and had a attitude. He needs to learn what costumer service is and how to explain things to people new to golfing. I would NOT recommend coming here. Spend a little more money and go somewhere with nicer people and a nicer course.
