In summary

Los Rios Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, affordable pricing, and enjoyable course layout, which caters to golfers of all skill levels. Many visitors highlight the ongoing improvements to the course conditions, though some note that certain areas, such as the clubhouse and greens, could benefit from further maintenance. While the venue offers a nostalgic charm and good value, there are mixed reviews regarding the overall upkeep, with some golfers experiencing issues with the course's condition and pace of play.

Just a fun little course! This is one of the oldest if not the oldest course in Plano. Built when courses weren't as long and the greens weren't as big, this is a great course for all skill levels but does require good second shots if you want to hit the green. Speaking of the greens, they're always in great shape. The staff is always friendly and the prices are fantastic. If you want a fun round, give this place a try!

I’ll start by saying this is a fun course to play. I’ve come here quite a bit over the past 6 months and have enjoyed it. The first time I came it needed a lot of work done to the course and I can tell over the 6 months that they have been working on it and improving the course. The clubhouse could use some updates still but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before they get to it. Right now pace of play is amazing but I’m sure as they keep fixing it up it will get busier and busier. Definitely recommend coming here if you want a fun, quick round of golf.

We had our daughter's wedding here last weekend. Awesome, Awesome experience! The owner, Lyle and the Event Planner, Paula Davis were unbelievable! They both went out of their way to accommodate us in every way possible. The food was awesome, the service from all employees outstanding. I can not say enough about this wedding venue. They truly blessed our life. We left this experience feeling so thankful and like part of the Los Rios Family. Thank you Lyle and Paula for all the hard work and generosity you both extended to our family.

This course is in terrible shape. Went to play with a buddy that told me the course is awesome .. (he remembered it from years ago). There was no way to tell where the fairway and rough separated. The course looks like they quit during the middle of a renovation. Pipes exposed on the course. Mounds of dirt everywhere.... and the greens ??? Geez. They were off white/tan in color... the only green on the greens were weeds! I don’t normally right reviews but this experience compelled me to do so! This would only be a good course to take your kid too if they never learned to play and you wanted to…

Play golf here every monday morning with my buddy! The staff is great and always willing to help! The grass is always green! The greens are a little stiff, but soft enough to keep the ball from bouncing too much. I highly recommend this golf course to any type of golfer! If you are new there are no bunkers, so don't worry about sand...if you are experienced golfer, there is a lot of water to keep you on your toes! Great golf course! Great price!

Played today and greens were rolling smooth and holding good shots. The staff is friendly and helpful. We played in under 4 hrs. Beautiful location and some very challenging holes over water hazards and creeks.

Likely will not return here. Course looks good from the road but is in poor shape once you get out on it. Fluffy fairways and dead spots on the greens, which are hard as concrete and will not hold a shot. Surprising, given all the recent rain. The greens DO roll smoothly, you just can't hope for a shot to hold. Further, there are no yardage markers anywhere on sprinkler heads, almost no 150-yard poles (there may have been a total of two). I can think of far better golf courses for the price...Pecan Hollow right across the street, for example.

This place is not worth the money at all!! You can play at well manicured courses for the same price elsewhere. Do not waste your money here. Starter yelled at us on hole 1 for waiting to long to tee off.. there was a 4 ball group in the middle of the fairway. Fairways had dandelion weeds everywhere. Greens are brown. Bascicslly dirt. Please. Please do not throw away your money at this place. Staff was extremely rude.

The course is really bad shape, two temporary greens, 12 of the other 16 greens are in horrible condition some kind of fungus. The fairway have little or no grass. Paid $37 on weekend, I wouldn't pay $10!! for the condition. With all the other choices within 5-10 miles, I wanted to kick myself, no wonder they had early tee times available. If you are a serious golfer don't go until they get their greens back. It is the worse course on the North side of Metroplex at this time.

Staff is the worst. Rude folks in there and very unfriendly to our group. Course isn't elite enough for them to act the way they did. The course was not in good shape after the recent rains. The fairways were mowed with streaks of tall grass throughout like they missed spots. Greens were alright. No cart girl until hole 16 at about 3pm. Not worth more than $15-$20. Avoid the club house at all cost.

I have played this course many times, and thoroughly enjoy each round. The course is well kept and the pace is typically pretty good. However, after today, I love this course. I woke up for a 9am tee time and arrived 20 minutes early to the course. Upon arrival, I knew something in my body wasnt right. I began to vomit, and feel very light headed right before hole 1. After hole two, I wasnt going to be able to make it. I made my way to the Clubhouse and went in and explained my situation. The man working the course(I'll make sure to get his name next time) gladly gave me a rain check for when…

To my daughter here today. I’m not sure what’s going on with this club. Starting at the parking lot, I wasn’t even sure it was open. What looked to be tennis courts, looked to be where missile testing took place. The clubhouse look like a ghost town and smelled like someone peed in every room. The course had weeds in the fairways that stood a foot tall. The place made me feel sad inside. I hope someone can turn this place around, the course layout was fun but the smells, they need help.
