Madden's on Gull Lake

What a wonderful place for a conference! The setting is beautiful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and respectful. Food was fabulous and exceeded my expectations for gluten free (due to Celiacs). There was so much to do and so much space to do it in. Absolutely spectacular!

Madden's Mother's Day Buffet was absolutely divine. From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with soft lighting and a beautiful view of the lake. The spread was just incredible, fresh seafood, prime rib, artisan breads, and a dessert table that was like a dream. Every bite felt like a celebration, and the staff was so attentive. It was truly a perfect way to honor moms.

Our stay at Madden's on Gull Lake was amazing from start to finish. The cabin was beautiful and spotless, and the pillows were honestly the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. The beds were phenomenal too. Every staff member we interacted with — from the gift shop, front desk, and recreation team — was so friendly and helpful. We found the perfect little fishing nook and caught lots of fish, which made the trip even more memorable. we went for a work conference; super dated old rooms, smell musty. They boasted we’d get a lake view when we booked and it was kind of a side/partial and blocked view: disappointing. The food was ok; they have vegetarian options if you want vegetables and no protein. They tried to charge us more for our room/package in the end so watch your charges when you check out! We don’t plan to come back. We had a facial, it was just ok, nothing too fancy That said, some of the staff seemed very kind and fun! We did not spend time golfing or on the lake… those seem to be the draws of this place.

Always enjoy our Maddens experiences. Used to take my children here, now am taking their children! There are so many accommodation choices and they are all different. You have dining choices on premise including a small ice cream/candy parlor. The Maddens Spa is for males, females, and teens.No end to on-site activities either. Boating, fishing, tennis, golf, pickleball, swimming pools, a beach, bean bag throw etc!! That's what keeps us coming back!

8/26 we had our anniversary dinner celebrating 53 years at Mission Point. We try to go annually for this fun event. It was wonderful again as usual and a great staff waiter Ricardo. The bartender made a perfect old-fashioned and we loved his artwork with food. Thanks Mission Point for a fun celebration.

My family stayed there along with my kids' baseball team and another baseball team from our community. We have stayed at Madden's a few times over the years for baseball and it never disappoints! The activites and food on property are top notch. There is something for everyone to do. The resort never felt overcrowded even though I know the rooms were all full. It is a beautiful property that allows time to relax. We stayed in the Sunset Villa rooms. They were very spacious, updated with an up north feel, and has a view of Wilson Bay. Went here for a wedding and stayed in a cabin. Had a great time. Everything was reasonably walkable and took no time on a golf cart. Beautiful property.

Nice views of the lake. Many old rooms that stink of carpet fresh and cleaner solution. Towel bar falls off the wall. No internet service, no matter what they claim. Hidden fees: $55.40 per night added to the bill for "Package Service Charge" with no explanation. Flies everywhere; especially, in the conference center and on the banquet foods, both indoors and out-of-doors, with no evidence of any effort to eliminate. Would not recommend. Too many other nice properties on Gull Lake.

We made an honest mistake and had to cancel our reservation for June for our 3 families for our annual summer retreat. We were first timers at Maddens but had stayed there various times on our own. When we tried to cancel with two months plus notice they kept $400+ of our deposit. We asked if it can be applied to next year when we would easily spend $3000-$4000 with them. They refused. We are out $400+ and they make that money plus resell the room. A total ripoff! Please be careful when making your reservation! They won’t work with you and don’t have a heart.
