In summary

Marion Golf and Athletic Club, also known as Brownstone Country Club, is praised for its challenging layout with abundant water hazards, well-maintained course conditions, and friendly staff. The club offers a beautiful setting and good amenities, including a pro shop and snack bar. However, some visitors have noted issues such as slow pace of play, inconsistent food quality at the grill, and occasional maintenance problems on the greens.

Also known as the Brownstone CC. If you like a challenging course, this is the place for you!!! I have never played a course with sooooo much water on it. I only gave it four stars because I played the course in mid Nov. And the leaves were falling and blowing all over the course, making finding your ball nearly impossible, even on the fairways. I can imagine that this course would be absolutely beautiful in the spring and early summer.... If your in northeastern Arkansas or the Memphis area and are looking for a very challenging round of golf, I totally recommend The Brownstone C.C.!!!! aka M…

I give one star because I ate at Cypress golf & recreation. Young ladies look too be around 18 are the cooks & they have no earthly idea of what they are doing. Food - burnt bacon, burnt quesadilla, pizza with breakfast sausage over cooked. I will say the youngest one was on point when it came to cleanliness. She changed her gloves each time she touched anything. The oldest I would say wore gloves once, took them off, touched her hair, cash register etc...

While I've never played the course...I was dropping off my husband and oh my Lord! It's beautiful!! Shade trees where necessary. My husband and everyone calls it the Monster because it's so challenging!!

Don't waste your money. We had 5, 6 and 8 player groups on the hole in front of us even if we jumped ahead. Greens were airated so badly putting wasn't possible, and no grass to be found anywhere.

Cant say much about the course as we didn't get a chance to play it as they don't offer club rentals like they state on their website. Drove a hour to find that it is false and that Links on Riverside is a much better option.

Great course, but due to lack of trees, the wind is wicked. A lot of water, but that just means you have to try a little harder.

Great course! Tougher than the length would suggest. Terrific service in the pro shop and snack bar. Calley is awesome!

We rented the upstairs room of the club for a party. They ran out of chairs for our guests. They were very nice.

Had paid for eighteen, but had to leave after nine. Received a rain check for those nine not played; unexpected. Staff was very friendly, plus free coffee in the mornings while it lasts.
