What People Say

In summary

Meadows Farms Golf Club is appreciated for its unique and challenging layout, featuring distinct holes like the Waterfall and Island courses, and a friendly, welcoming staff. However, many visitors have expressed disappointment with the condition of the greens, citing issues with maintenance and lack of transparency regarding their state prior to booking. Despite these concerns, some find the course's design and overall experience enjoyable, particularly for its variety and scenic setting.

Not a bad course, but I consider it overpriced. $72 for 18 on a Friday morning. Greens were bumpy, tee boxes dead and uneven... now all that said, VA is in a drought, so maybe if we get some good rain it will freshen up, but for $72 on a weekday, I expected a little better... They have 27 holes. I played the "Longest" and "Waterfall". The waterfall hole is really cool looking. Lots of blind tee shots and hills. Might go back.

The front 9 is beautiful with waterfalls, hills, and decent fairways but to have paid full price for the greens to be in the condition they were in is disappointing. There was an obscene amount of crabgrass on the greens and they didn’t seem as manicured as they should be. Overall good experience but for the price and travel there, i expected more.

Visited Meadow Farms today 8-10-25 with family and friends. Before we teed off, we specifically asked about course conditions and were told the greens were in “great condition.” Unfortunately, that was far from accurate. The greens were mostly brown, patchy, and covered in weeds. It was clear that regular maintenance had not been kept up, which made putting frustrating and took away from the overall experience. We had to pay full price ($77) for a course that was nowhere near the quality promised. Given the state of the greens, a discount or at least a heads-up about the true conditions would…

$80 For What?! I've been here multiple times this year and it's been steadily going down hill. And it's honestly not changing year after year. They did have a sign up about the weeds on the greens blaming the wet weather, but the holes and overall just dead greens holes on the greens and dead tee boxes say otherwise. Year after year I have better hopes for Meadows but year after year it disappoints and for the price go anywhere else.

If you're looking for a fun and challenging golf course that's sure to please, look no further than Meadows Farm Golf Course! As a New Yorker, I was blown away by the friendly staff and the beautifully designed course. The staff at Meadows Farm are top-notch, with a warm and welcoming attitude that makes you feel right at home. They're always happy to help with any questions or needs you may have, and they really know how to make you feel like part of the family. But let's talk about the course itself - wow, is it a doozy! The holes are well-designed and challenging, with plenty of obstacles…

Great course! Lots of fun and quality golf holes as well as a par 6 that is fun to play! Great facilities and staff. The carts were marginal (loud and old). The teeboxes, fairways and greens were all in good condition. 7/10 greens because some were pretty divot riddled but over all great course for 65$, 40$ if you have your VA golf book. Good value would definitely recommend

Played today 8/10 and was looking forward to seeing the course again. The fairways were in great shape, but the greens were probably the worst I have ever seen. Virtually no grass on the greens, cracked mud, crabgrass and soaking wet. Very disappointed to pay the price they charged for greens in that shape! They have also made some changes since the last time I played there. Fairways were in very good shape. They removed all the alignment flags on the blind tee shots (which seems like a bad idea). Some of the quirky holes like the baseball diamond and another par 3, they have removed all the f…

This course was a very cool and unexpected find! Three different 9s and you choose two to combine for 18. Choose from Islands, Longest Hole or Waterfall. Well thought out and challenging course. The waterfall was very cool and unique and it was our first time golfing into an island. Moguls, hills, water plenty of obstacles to challenge new and skilled golfers alike. Even a par 4 practice hole before you start your round - fantastic! Very well maintained and reasonable pace of play for a Saturday. Has a few tunnels you can drive through with your cart! All staff were very friendly and helpful f…

TEMPORARILY CLOSED!!! Should be what the signs read. Used to like this course, but it’s highly unethical and fraudulent for the owners to charge with the state it’s currently in. Worst I have ever seen or played on. Cowardly to let teenagers work on the weekends so they don’t have to deal with the backlash. Don’t go here!

Really enjoyed the course and I will be back to see how it looks after some warmer months. Most courses in this price range are pretty boring or standard course design, this at least has a few cool signature holes to keep things interesting. Took a star off because the course conditions were not great, and the greens had been punched - if that was noted somewhere on the booking page, it was not obvious enough to know going in.

Played Island 9 and Water Fall 9 at 12/27/23. The setup of the short course is fun with few holes around water (island and water fall). Ponds reflecting winter blue sky are beautiful. Greens are not at the very best in winter but still fast enough. Jian

Decent golf course. Friendly people, wide open fairways, and an interesting design. Would have given five stars but the price was high ($70 for a round) and there were only two ball wash stations for the whole 18 holes.
