What People Say

In summary

Mossy Creek Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic mountain setting and affordability, making it a popular choice for many golfers. However, there are significant concerns about course maintenance, with reports of rough fairways, unplayable greens, and overgrown areas affecting playability. While some visitors enjoy the friendly staff and overall experience, others have noted issues such as slow pace of play and confusing cart paths.

Enjoyed our round this morning. No matter what your skill level, Mossy Creek is a fun course to play. And, for what it's worth, in the Fall when the leaves are changing..take a moment between the green on #2 & the tee box for #3 to take in the beauty of a Fall in Georgia, view the colorful mountain vistas and be thankful that you're playing golf instead of being at work! Simply put, it doesn't get much better than this.

The course has really gone down hill. Greens are burnt with excessive dead spots and dirt areas. Will be late fall before they get them back if at all. Fairways haven't been mowed probably for a couple weeks or more. Clover is bad, good luck finding your ball even in the fairway. 15th teebox and cart part has been washed out for months. It is shameful what this course has become. Spend your money elsewhere.

Price was great! Me and my wife played for under $50 with a cart. The rough is a little thick, we lost a good amount of balls in the just because it was so thick. Greens are a little slow and the carts paths are a little confusing and bumpy!

Great little course, have played there a few times within the month and course was always in good shape. Only complaint is the roughs need some attention, they are more less clover fields. Almost had an ace on #18

Updated 8-30-2019 from 2017 review: The staff is still friendly, but the course is HORRIBLE! The greens are mostly dried mud patches (pics attached) and are NOT playable! It was a severe downgrade from the last visit, and there will NOT be a future visit. I have it one star, because zero stars was not an option. VERY disappointing.

Course was in such bad shape. A few greens were uncut, you couldn’t even putt. Also fairways were not cut for a while . Never played a round of golf on a course this bad.

This is the worst course in North Georgia. There was a high school tournament there on Saturday and teams withdrew after 9 holes. The super intendent set the pins in some great location but the greens were horrible. He set the pin on #2 in an impossible placement and was laughing about it. Promblem was it caused the hole to take too long and there was a backup at one time of 8 groups. If they plan to keep it open they need to find some people that know more about a golf course than how to play

Mossy Creek Golf Course is without a doubt one of my favorite places to play golf. It's a great value for the money and the course is in excellent condition. Highly recommended.

Interesting little golf club in the mountains, would give it a better rating but I have not been there that one or two of the fairways were completely under water. Last time I was here they looked liked they were redoing some of them to hopefully help that out.

Nice little course, fairways decent shape, one bad hole part 3 15, recently reconfigured so I'm sure it will get better

Good value for price. Fairways are rough, greens are ok. Lots of thick clover in spots on fairway
