In summary

North Hampton Golf Club is praised for its unique and challenging layout, friendly and accommodating staff, and beautiful setting with some scenic views. However, there are mixed opinions regarding the course's condition, with some noting issues like patchy fairways and rough greens. Additionally, concerns about the pace of play and maintenance of facilities such as cart paths and the patio have been highlighted by some visitors.

A pleasant place to have an inexpensive meal, some cocktails and a few beers. The young server was friendly and attentive. The outside patio is in desperate need of a rehab, but it's still a nice place to sit and eat overlooking the 18th hole. Membership not required. I didn't play golf. Happy hour on Wednesdays from 4 to... 8?

We’ve played nearly every public course near Jacksonville, and in South Georgia and somehow didn’t know about this course until recently. It was such a fun course. There was a decent amount of undulation, couple marsh views and overall a pretty unique layout. The distance between holes was pretty far, so I could see it being a difficult course to walk. Fairways and greens were in decent shape. Only a couple greens were a little burnt, but nothing too bad. Even the ladies tee boxes were in decent shape, which I find hard to come by. Pace of play was pleasant even with the walkers in front of us…

Had a great time with our group of 13 women from North Carolina! Grass was still dormant but the course location was beautiful as well as challenging. The staff could not be better to work with. Will be back for sure!

Nice course and layout from what I saw. Some of the courses do have some distance between them, so I'm glad we got the cart to ride in. We came from out of town and enjoyed playing on this course except for the last hole which was looking rough towards the middle. The first starter for our tee time just before 11 was a little pushy trying to get us to move faster even though we were only 10 minutes behind and there was no one behind us. Although when the new starter was there at Noon, he was a chill guy. Overall, I'd play here again.

A really great course in Amelia Island, that offers quite a bit of a challenge. Fun to play in the mornings. GREAT staff as well, they are very accommodating, keep the pace of play in check, and give you a lay out of the course before you go. One of the more challenging public courses that is certainly worth playing!! 5 stars

Staff is great. Always friendly and helpful. The cart paths on the other hand, need some love. I have seen better paths in 3rd world countries. I would rate 5 stars if the cart paths weren't more dangerous than route Irish in 2004.

I played here a number of years ago while on vacation in the area. We really enjoyed the course and found it to be quite challenging. Great clubhouse and facilities.

Good layout with unique and challenging holes. Some elevation changes, which is nice for Florida. Generous fairways. The biggest obstacle to scoring are the greens and surrounds, with water in play on several holes but mostly by greens. Course condition is my reason for low rating. Fairways okay but patchy. Greens rough and very slow, shaggy. 6th green dirt and wispy grass was the worst of them.

A real nice course that was NOT overly expensive! The staff and employees were all friendly and helpful. The fairways and greens were a little bit dry but the layout and overall layout of the courses easily made up for it!

Above and beyond outstanding customer service. Blaze the GM is excellent. We come to Jacksonville every year from Boston for a golf trip and this course is a must play on our trip every year. Can't wait to be back in 2027.

Condition of the course has really gone downhill. Fairways are bare or patchy at best. Greens very bumpy and full of crabgrass. $50 for a late afternoon tee time on a weekday is ridiculous.

Starting leagues off at #10 is really inconsiderate. We had a good time until we came upon that. Probably won’t return because of it.
