In summary

Trident Lakes Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging layout, picturesque setting, and friendly staff, with many golfers noting the fairways and greens are generally well-maintained. The course offers good value, though recent price increases and occasional issues with green conditions and slow pace of play have been noted by some visitors. Amenities such as updated carts and a welcoming clubhouse enhance the overall experience, though dining options are limited.

We were pleasantly surprised by the very nice clubhouse, but sadly there the dining room was closed. I suggest you call first if you hope to eat there. It's a minimum 10 minute drive to find another place to eat unless you can enter the base...which we couldn't. The course was nicely laid out, fun to play and in decent condition. The fees were extremely reasonable even for us civilians.

The Trident Lakes Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by Arthur Hills, is a challenging experience for golfers of all skill levels. It's a pretty good deal at $50 a round, and that includes the cart. The staff is friendly and professional. The course has gently rolling fairways, beautifully framed by dense trees, making for a picturesque and shaded environment. Golfers will find their putting skills tested on the meticulously maintained, sloping greens.

I've played here for several years but the place has hit an all-time low in quality while simultaneously raising their prices by 75%-80%. That's not a typo - up until one month ago the greens fees with a cart were around $30. Now they're $52 - $55 and the course is in terrible shape. We've always put up with traps without sand and greens with bare spots because it was $30. Yesterday the greens were entirely brown after the maintenance crew did a half-assed job of aerating the greens two weeks prior without filling the holes with sand and then mowing it down to the nubs. It's an absolute joke…

Played 1/8/2024. Visiting from Ohio. Really enjoyed this course, layout is very friendly if you’re a newer golfer or having a day of the slices. Staff was great as well. Fair prices for 18 holes. Some unique layouts around water, only lost maybe one to the water this round. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out. Looks like lots of work and care are put in here. If you find any Vice balls in the woods, tell them I miss them and did not plan to leave them behind. Definitely on the list for when I return. Great carts, and driving range as well.

Great course been playing here for a few years and the staff does a great job at maintaining the greens. The front 9 greens are a bit rough right now but the back are super pure with very few bald or sand spots. I will say people aren’t good at fixing ball marks on the green at this course so the staff is constantly battling that. The reason I gave 4 stars is the price continues to climb. The amenities have gotten better in all fairness. They extended the tee boxes recently, added GPS/ Bluetooth touch screens for the carts and now have a starter/ beverage cart. I still miss the days of paying…

Price was right but pick up breakfast before you get there because all they have in the way of food is hotdogs. Fairways were great and wide open. Greens were rated about 11 on stump.

Course is in superb condition, especially for the price, great value! All holes are a challenge, including lots of water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers. The views on every hole are breathtaking. Worth noting even the carts run quietly and are in great condition. Grounds crew were laying mulch at the tee blocks which is a sign of a course well cared for...it will be even better once the patio and dining areas reopen!

I rated it 3 stars because the price has been going up. While it is a bit expensive, the food quality is good.

Greens absolutely horrible. Like playing Plinko. Can’t get a ball to go straight. Loads of sand on greens. Prices going up course deteriorating. Tee boxes not bad. Fairways good. Probably won’t play there again.

Great course at reasonable rate with super staff to welcome us and get us out on the course. The holes are challenging yet forward tees make it enjoyable for those with a shorter game. It is built on sand do it drains well after heavy rains. Fairways and greens are great!

Decent course for what you have to pay (lowest prices I have seen in the area). Course was not in the best of shape and a lot of the course the golf path is totally missing (just abruptly stops). Be careful near the water--quit counting gators after the 8th one...
