In summary

Amelia River Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging yet enjoyable layout, and friendly, accommodating staff. The club's amenities, including a driving range, pro shop, and restaurant, receive positive feedback, as does its picturesque setting near the beach. While most experiences are favorable, a few visitors have noted issues with bunker conditions and course maintenance at times.

Drove to Amelia River GC late Feb ‘26 for my son to play a Saturday round in preparation for a Jr tournament. They clearly support and encourage Jr golf from our experience. I made the tee time over the phone earlier the same week with Dawson, who was super helpful. Carlton , in pro shop, was friendly and accommodating upon arrival on day of play. The course was in good shape overall, greens were flush but not fast. Fairways were nice but lots of fallen leaves this time of year. Bunkers were maintained. Saturday afternoon pace of play was good, little to no waiting. They didn’t allow walking m…

Extremely impressed with the course. This was my first time on the property and i can confidently say this is the best public course in the area. The overall course layout is a great challenge but also aesthetically pleasing. I only got the chance to play the front 9 but #17 was too good to miss with my camera.

Such a great experience playing this course we visit regularly from out of state! I’ll be honest we have played all the courses in the area public and private and none of them compare to this one. All the employees were the friendliest staff I’ve ever seen at a course. Our go too from now on- thanks for a great time!

Wonderful course and staff! Just took a large group of women from North Carolina to play here. The staff was so organized. Things could not have gone smoother! Everything was done professionally. The course was in great shape and fun to play. We hope to come back again. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous course. Staff and amenities are top notch. Greens and fairways are tournament shape. The layout as well is challenging but fun to play. A lot of the fairways are pretty forgiving so I wouldn't consider it a tight course. You're very close to the beach so the breeze is nice. We played at one of the hottest times of the year and it was still very tolerable. Highly recommend.

Great golf course that was in great shape and there were some tricky holes. The restaurant was nice as well serving up good breakfast and lunch options. Driving range was good and very close to everything which is always a bonus. Pro shop had lots of options and the staff were super nice. The only thing I would like to see are showers in the locker rooms but overall great experience. Thank you!

We paid $175 to play a course on 11/2/2025, there were hard pan lies around many greens. Quite a few green side bunkers had NO sand in them, just dirt (left hand green side bunker on the first hole is a great example). Many fairways were average at best. I’ve paid $175 and above before and those courses were amazing. Just very disappointing. I should note, I played this course 2 years ago and paid $115 and it was in immaculate shape. That’s why we returned, that’s why it was so disappointing.

We Had the best time playing yesterday. The course played great, is in real nice condition, and the people were SUPER friendly. Cheryl and Craig took great care of us getting us checked in, and on the tee box. My guests and I had a great time. We rented three sets of clubs and the Taylor Made QI 10s are phenomenal. Keep up the great work at Amelia River and thanks for a great golfing experience. 😎😎

In a part of Florida that is known for prestigious private and resort golf clubs, the Amelia River Club has been recognized as one of the most prestigious courses in all of North Florida. The Club is located on Amelia Island, just north of Jacksonville and within minutes of the historic town of Fernandina Beach. It’s and a favorite of both local golfers and visitors to the Amelia Island area for many years. It’s not your typical daily fee facility; the fairways are always in pristine condition with well-manicured fairways and sculpted bunkers that lead to smooth TifEagle greens that roll fast…

We had a blast and were very well taken care of at the Amelia River club!!!! They have a very well run machine here for sure. We were greeted by the starter who got everyone off on time, the guy in the pro shop helped with our rental club and the cart girl made great drinks very quickly. Played our round in four hours, amazing!!!

Amelia River Gold Club is new as a wedding venue but the perfect place for an outdoor wedding with a beautiful view. The event tent is spacious and since our wedding day ended up being VERY windy, and we had a few panels put up at the last minute to help cut down on the wind inside the tent. The panels are very clear and do not take away from the gorgeous view. The arbor is beautiful and sits in front of a stunning view of the intercoastal. There are also plenty of spots for photo opportunities after the wedding. I highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a stunning outdoor venue for a…
