In summary

Fernandina Beach Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with praise for its friendly staff, decent course conditions, and interesting layout, particularly noting the greens' good condition and the beautiful setting. However, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with inconsistent course maintenance, high fees, and unprofessional staff behavior, especially regarding policies for non-playing guests. The club is appreciated for its efforts to improve, but some believe it still has room for growth.

Had my wedding reception here and planned from several states away. Absolutely amazing team . Kristy was always very responsive and such a calming person. Even took measurements since I didn’t live there . Staff was so so kind who worked reception . We received so many compliments on the food particularly the prime rib and potatoes…. We are already planning a possible family reunion here sometime . Highly recommend

After reading some of the recent reviews my son and I decided to try this course while on a trip to Amelia Island. The course was is decent shape but much better then the old reviews give it credit for. We played the West Course then the South Course as the North Course was closed for aeration. Tee boxes were in good shape and fairways were mostly well maintained. As a recent reviewer noted, if you find yourself in the rough it may take a bit of time to find your ball as it tends to sit down deep in the grass. You will find it but it does slow the pace a bit. We played as a twosome and had a…

Friendly staff. Can tell the course and team is trying to make it better, but gonna be another couple of years before it’s great. In the meantime, as long as you roll the ball a bit in the fairways, it’s a good experience. Greens were true. Good pace of play on a Thursday afternoon. Disappointed I called and they said fee would be one thing, then I showed up and it was more. Twilight starts at 3 now apparently. Call and confirm. But I also didn’t have a tee time. I’ll definitely go back, mix in a low cost muni once in a while, pay $149 down the road once in a while. Generally open fairways and…

Horrible experience. The only good thing to come from this was the unbelievable story we have about being kicked off the course for doing absolutely nothing wrong. We had 7 guys but a couple of our guys weren't playing. We booked 2 separate tee times to accommodate. We all paid full price which was over $82 each. I don't know what the course actually looks like because the cart narc stopped us twice before we even finished the 2nd hole. The second time he came back with backup. The only thing this place has going for it is the lady that checks the carts out for you. She was very nice.

I enjoy this course a lot. Usually the staff is friendly. Played there yesterday at 950. The starter was hands down the rudest golf course employee that I've ever seen. Paying 80$ for a mini course is high, but ok I agreed to that. I didn't agree for a Napolean like jerk to come to the first hole and threaten us when we did nothing wrong. Otherwise, course is fun and I'll be back.

We went and paid for 8 people. 6 of the people were playing. 2 were spectators. We also reserved 2 tee times and paid full price for everyone. After 2 holes the cart narks golf us we had to leave because the two spectators on a cart weren't playing.. staff was very unprofessional.

Played nine holes yesterday on the South Course. Unfortunately, the course conditions were pretty rough — fairways and greens were inconsistent and not well-maintained. Paying a senior rate of $54 for just nine holes feels excessive given the current condition. For comparison, my wife and I recently played 18 holes at the Jacksonville Municipal Beach Course for $63 total, and that course is in excellent shape. It really makes the Fernandina Beach rate hard to justify. If you’re looking for a better golf experience and value, I’d highly recommend making the short drive (or a quick ferry ride)…

I'll start with some positives. The greens are in great shape and roll really well. The layout of the course is really beautiful. A true lynx style type of design. The clubhouse staff were great. The starters and rangers were in a foul mood and we had the earliest tee time of the day, 7am, even though they let two groups roll in front of us because they were "members". The mentality of disgruntled drill sergeants. Maybe I'm just spoiled? In Central FL $50 will get you some really decent golf. And I've played in rural areas where theres not really many courses. We played the South and North co…

Attended MOAA special luncheon hosted bt Nassau County chapter. Guest speakers Lt Gen Brian Kelly, current President and CEO of MOAA. Facility handled the group well. Put out an excellent luncheon. Comfortable seating not overly crowded. #ada #access #MOAA #golf #fellowship #lunch #navy #kingsbay #holmansellhomes

I am very disappointed in the service my husband and his friends received last weekend. My husband and a friend paid full price even though they weren’t actually playing and they paid for 2 different tee times to accommodate the group they had. Just because it was cold that morning, they were wearing camo jackets over their collared shirts they were targeted. An employee came to complain about how it was a busy weekend and since then two weren’t actually playing, they looked like spectators and they needed the cart. Literally didn’t even get to finish the second hole before they were kicked of…

Wife and I have an upcoming vacation to Amelia Island. This course was one at the top of my list to try in a couple weeks. Wife doesn’t play though. She likes to ride and hang out and watch. We’re no stranger to paying cart fees, but full green fees is insane. Boy, am I glad I checked the reviews before making a tee time. Sounds like we would have booked, paid, and been sadly disappointed!

The 1st course I play when moving to Yulee in 2022. It wasnt in good condition, and I thought it wasnt worth the price. The South course was decent then, but the other 2 needed resuscitation. 3 years later it is one of my favorite courses to play. They have brought all 3 courses up to par. I dont know who they hired to manage the grounds, but BRAVO to whoever it is.
