North Kern Golf Course

Had a really disappointing experience at this course. While my group was out enjoying a round, a worker drove up to us and told us we were “playing too slow” and that we were “holding up the entire course.” The way it was handled was rude and unnecessary. There was no friendly warning, no attempt to help us pick up pace, and no explanation of what pace they expected — just an abrupt confrontation that completely killed the vibe of the round. My friends and I were all excited to golf, garrison that works at the front was very friendly and professional. On our 2nd hole which took us 20 minutes to get to as people were in front us, an older man comes up to my friends and I and says we have to speed up and we’re taking too long and holding everyone up. When we are playing at a very normal pace as well as being a two man scramble. It’s not our fault the course overbooked people and have people waiting. First time coming to this corse and some old folks stole my cobra driver cover and put it on his driver I tried asking them if they seen it and they all denied it then continued to watch me at 12am today. Word of advice don't trust no old people here smoking cigars and keep an eye on your stuff. Lesson learned.

Prices are always good. Due to the recent ownership change, the course looks better than ever. I never mind the drive out here. However, all of the County courses have some pretty obnoxious, drunk and loud players lately. They’re not very family-friendly anymore. Time for a marshall!

The course is in rough shape. Standing water and mud everywhere. The amenities are falling apart. Golf cart brakes are useless. It took us 5 hours to play a round of golf. There was no course manager in sight to help speed people along. The place just needs a lot of work.

Fun course. Not alot of hazards. Perfect for casual golfers and beginners.

First Time EVER Out To Golf.. An awesome experience .. I was actually hitting the ball & keeping up with my Brother & Nephew

I’ll start with the bad and end with the good. The lady cooking at the NK Grill is very dishonest to putting a nicely. When I went to pick up my food I paid with card and she charged her self a tip off of my card without asking me if it was ok to tip her (I had already tipped in the jar btw). When she charged me, took money out the cash register and also put into her tip jar. And when I asked for my receipt. She was hesitant to give it to me. And when the totals didn’t match up and I asked why, she said it’s because I got an additional beverage, which was not true because it was already paid f…

Great pricing, greens in great shape... there is actually green color to the fairways.

Best course for first timers and golfers on a budget. Very forgiving course. The food is really good, staff is friendly, carts always work and are clean! When it does get busy, play is a little slow. Only critique would be re-do the back 9, gets a little boring. End up always playing the front 9 twice. Sign up for their price alerts and golf for cheap!

Good course. Some of the fairways do have patches of dead grass. This pic is from the fairways of hope 16.
