In summary

The Links at RiverLakes Ranch is appreciated for its scenic setting, challenging course layout, and courteous staff, making it a popular choice for both golfers and event hosts. However, some visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly the lack of sand in bunkers and inconsistent conditions, as well as issues with slow pace of play and crowded tee times. Despite these criticisms, the venue remains a favored spot for weddings and events due to its picturesque backdrop and attentive service.

Had gone here back when I was in high school and recently attended a wedding reception. The scenery never disappoints, the lake is beautiful and peaceful. The reception was lovely as well. That day was very hot, it was in August, but the inside was very fresh.

Great course! Nice fairways and greens. Some greens are pretty challenging based in where the pin is located. Rolling course with beautiful water features. Bunkers are deep and plentiful but they are not sand, they are hard pack dirt so not too difficult to get out of. Only slight downside to this course is you need patience if playing on the weekend. Quite a few impatient folks with little to no golf etiquette. Overall I had a great experience and look forward to playing here again. I highly recommend all levels of golfers to get out and play this beautiful course.

We feel so blessed to have chosen The Links at Riverlakes Ranch for our wedding on 12/28/24 and to have had Erika as our event coordinator. The breathtaking view alone was the perfect background for our outdoor ceremony and pictures! We received so many compliments from our guests on the beautiful venue, the delicious food, and the amazing service. Thank you, Erika, for your hard work, great ideas, and all your help in planning the intimate wedding we envisioned! Your willingness to go above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of is much appreciated. You are not only professional…

UPDATE: WE HAD OUR WEDDING! We are absolutely happy with our choice to use this venue. The staff was amazing and when it unexpectedly started raining everyone jumped in to insure that our decorations and guests didn't get wet. The pictures with the beautiful scenery and the greyish sky just add something beautiful. I can not thank this place enough, or the staff for insuring that our day was stress free. Thank you all so much. We are having our wedding here May of 2024. The venue is beautiful, the food is amazing. The event coordinator that we have, Erika, is an absolutely amazing person. Hav…

Overall, the experience was good. However, the young staff member we interacted with was quite rude. The ball dispenser was empty, did not fill my husband’s bucket, and he implied that my husband was being dishonest about the missing balls. Aside from that interaction, the course was kept in decent condition and the food was good.

This place used to be pretty nice. Now they have 10 trillion people out playing every 4 minutes. Five-somes. Kids walking. Range is packed. Practice area is packed. Takes 5 to 6 hours if you want to play 18 holes. No pace. No marshall. No rules. No enforcement. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I have golfed here for years now. I been reading some of these reviews and I agree with some of the bad ones. I have golfed here with the fairways were dead and when they were nice and green and when they were nice and mowed and over grown. When the course is green and well kept its awesome. The bunkers do not have sand in them ever and usually have stagnant water in them. I learned my lesson with that years ago so I wont even hit my ball if it goes into them with water. The worse thing about this course more than anything is the way they actually run it. They dont have a 9 hole rate and their…

Used to love playing here, went every weekend last year. This year course conditions have been awful. Dead tee boxes, poorly cut roughs, rock hard bunkers, and empty ball washes. To charge more than any other public course in Bakersfield and have these conditions is a joke. Highly recommend people go somewhere else.

Will never golf here again. I booked a tee time for 11:36am today as a single hoping to get paired up with group. Yet somehow when I arrived the started told me the 11:36am group I was paired up already had a 4some somehow. So I get screwed over not being able to get paired up. Could give zero stars if I could. Plus pace of play is extremely slow no Marshall to be found anywhere.

Good location and nice golf course but have no idea why there has been no sand in bunkers for a few years. What a shame, for what they charge should be sand in bunkers

I love playing this course even thought their prices have gone up recently. I absolutely hate that they allow kids to fish on 11 and 14 even thought there are many no fishing signs. I'm all for kids being out of the house and off game systems but there are safer places to fish. Called the proshop to ask why they don't do anything about it. ( there were 6 kids at hole 14 pond 3 right in front of the green where you chip over the water or from the right over too the green) They suggested I call the cops... Its their private property they should do something about it. All it takes is one kid to g…
