In summary

Oakway Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, affordable rates, and convenient in-town location, making it a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned golfers. The course is noted for its fun and challenging layout, with strategically placed hazards and a welcoming atmosphere, although it operates on a first-come, first-served basis without tee times. Some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play and occasional staff interactions, which have detracted from their experience.

Great in-town course. Good walking course, even for 18 holes, but some may prefer a cart to cruise it faster. Well maintained greens. Now watch me sink this putt.

Nice executive course with short par 4’s and 3’s tucked away with homes to either side on most holes. Greens and fairways seemed well maintained and watered. Water Hazards , trees, and bunkers were strategically placed adding to my enjoyment of this hidden gem. I called ahead to make a tee time and was told no need, “It’s first come first serve.” I teed off minutes after I paid. $15.00 for 9 or $20 for 18.

Winter rates now in effect- $6 for 9 holes, $10 for 18! Course is in good shape - greens great, leaves are a problem. Staff is great. You don't need a tee time. If the clouds part, you csn be there in 5 minutes

These guys are great! Walk on only and we've never had to wait more than 30min to start. Challenging course too!

Bad conditions pretty much all the time. Bad pace of play. All the time. Front desk does nothing about it. Groups of 5 dont let solos pass. Front desk has Bad customer.

This course use to be nice, well kept and fun to play… not anymore, tee boxes, be carful you might roll an ankle. All of their bunkers are like pavement the wait time on tee boxes are like 10-15 min each hole because it gets backed up and staff doesn’t care about pace of play. The greens have loose grass clipping and some actually have muddy spots on them. This is the course you send your kids to go play. I’d definitely recommend picking one of the full length courses around town.

On May 15, 2025, I was enjoying my time playing golf at Oakway Golf Course when Brad, the front desk manager, approached me in his cart and aggressively asked, "What are you doing?" I suspected he was questioning me about replaying the course without paying. I quickly explained that I was playing with a buddy who suggested we skip holes 10, 11, and 12 because we had spent 20 minutes waiting on holes 7, 8, and 9. We checked out hole 13, where there wasn't a single player, nor on hole 12. We quickly played the back holes 13-18 without any issues or waiting, and I explained to Brad why we did wha…

My husband has been a frequent player of Oakway Golf Course for over 20 years, and today's interaction with Brad was completely uncalled for and unprofessional on Brad's behalf. As a leader myself, it is never acceptable to lead with emotion or anger. This is exactly how Brad handles situations. How embarrassing for this establishment to condone this type of behavior and humiliation. You should be ashamed, and to blame it on the "owner" as your scape goat for your irrational behavior is extremely cowardly. People are more receptive to kind charismatic communication and interaction, and this is…

By far the best value for golf in Eugene. course and greens are in good shape and this is truly by definition an public course. The big thing to know is that there are no tee times, it is exclusively walk on first come first serve only outside of some leagues and company events they host. For said leagues, there usually on Tuesday and Wednesday. they close to public play for Wednesday's but Tuesdays usually has either the front or back 9 open for play
