In summary

Old Brickyard Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic elevation changes, and generally good condition of fairways and greens, making it an enjoyable course for many golfers. The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating. However, some visitors have experienced issues with course maintenance, such as poor greens and tee boxes, and have reported concerns about theft and management responsiveness. Additionally, there are mixed reviews about the pace of play and communication from the staff regarding course expectations.

Don’t play here unless you like your belongings stole for you. I forgot my $300 dollar radio on a golf cart. I was the very last cart to be put up. It was after hours when I noticed I didn’t have the radio and it was left on the golf cart. I called the next morning and they said they didn’t have anything left behind. I drove 2 hours back up to the course and watched videos to see where it went. You can see a random guy he had washing the carts that didn’t work there take it and put it in his truck. This random guy is the actual workers family but, the owner said it’s not his fault he had peopl…

Had the opportunity to play the course today. Not sure what some of the other reviews have seen, fairways lush and the greens were running true and somewhat fast. From my point of view and pics...the course was in very good condition. Has spots with challenging wide open fairways to blind shots to tee shots that force you to Plat a draw over water as the perfect shot. Our only disappointment was the grill is not open on Sundays. The only other regret, they should have sand on the range so divots can be filled. Otherwise..I thought it was a neat course and will go back.

Pricing was good. Lot of guys around the place. A simple but large clubhouse. Staff was very nice. More of a local but nice course. Only used the driving range and the putting green. Ok, for a middle of winter outing. Wind was head on and stiff. I-45 road noise was a bit much. Rolling hills looked nice, but a couple of the hills far away were mount trashmores. Would like to play the course in the future.

Employee stole turtlebox speaker, is clear footage that it was stolen from one of the golf cart washing employees, owner didnt believe his employee stole said speaker after the fact of us both watching camera footage. Very untruthful employees and owner. Would not recommend this golf club unless you'd like your things stolen from you.

I enjoyed the round here. I was on a little golf road trip. Got a hot tee time and dropped in. The course has a tricky layout. Pro shop staff were cool. The course was good for being the winter. Handful of standout holes that catch the eye. Pretty par 3(front 9) and par 5 #10 are straight amazing holes. I would recommend Old Brickyard! It was a good challenge.

Course is challenging. Was told front 9 greens were being aerated. Back nine would be normal greens. All 17 greens were terrible and the one temporary green was a joke. For some reason the pro shop has an option to "tip" when paying for green fee. Most of the greens are blind so take the drive down the fairway to see where the group in front of you is playing from before teeing off. Balls are flying in all directions so watch out. Don't be surprised if a ball comes rolling next to you while you are putting. Group in front of us got pretty pissed but we couldnt see them from the blue tees. Cart…

Played here on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Literally no grass on any of the greens and T t boxes weren’t any better. They charged us $80.00 for a round realistically I wouldn’t pay $20.00 to play a course like this. They definitely have some major issues to get fixed.

Played 18 on 12-30-21 Greens were in very good shape, played consistently quick all day. Nothing over the top hard, but challenging putting every few holes. Fairways were a tight cut that I enjoyed hitting. A few muddier spots but nothing that couldn’t be avoided, never had to play out of the mud. Staff was excellent, we had some time to kill so we played some cards in the clubhouse and had some beers. Very accommodating to us, will return when in the area!

Our group had a very disappointing experience during our recent round. We had a 6:57am tee time as a foursome, and by 8:30am we were on hole 7—well on pace for a 4-hour round. All four of us had just tee’d off when the Director of Operations, Melvin, pulled up and told us they had received complaints that our pace of play was too slow. He instructed us to finish the current hole, then wait and let the group behind us play through, then we could play again, then let the next group play through on the following hole, and so on. Essentially, we were told to alternate holes with every group behind…

Played the course for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it! Very challenging but the elevation changes and views are worth it. The layout requires accuracy on your shots but all in all it is a very fair course. Fairways and greens were in good shape considering the hot days and lack of rain the last couple of months. A couple of tee boxes could use some work though. I will definitely play this course again and am strongly considering making it my “home” course.

It is probably 3.5 stars but I'll go with 4. Solid course that is more about the story (an old brick quarry) than perfect conditions. The quarry holes are the best with nice views and plenty of water. Some nice elevation change. The fairways, tees and greens were in solid shape but everything else was lacking a bit. Worth the $25 to $40 green fee.
