This course is a must play! It was well maintained. Greens were beautiful. Not fast but tricky for sure. For February, I was impressed with how beautiful the course was. The starter gave great info to help your game. On Wednesday they had a Par 3 challenge. Place a bet and you can double your money. We'll definitely play here when visiting HHI.

Just came to Hilton Head with 7 buddies and we started our weekend of golf off here and what an awesome experience, from start to finish! Greens were fast and the if you miss the fairways and find a hill you roll whichever way that hill pushes you for a while. A lot of time, right into the water. But the course is a great layout and we had a blast playing! Just for note: you can’t access the parking lot with the carts so make sure to utilize the crew on site to help with your bags. And don’t miss the 19th green! Short 54 yard shot by the clubhouse. Just watch out for the gator in that lake!

A true gem in the area. Highly recommend it to get the true feel of golfing in the low country offering challenging scenic holes. This is must for any golfer visiting the area. Course in very good shape and the staff is friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful, well-maintained golf course. While there are some challenging holes, it's mostly a straightforward test of accuracy. You need to hit your drives within a 15-yard margin and keep them straight. There are some forced dogleg left holes where you have to play short, or you'll end up in the marsh or wetland area. There are also some straight holes that allow for various approach options.

Old South golf course has great hospitality as soon as you step onto the golf course grounds. Taking your bags and loading up on the cart and very knowledgeable of the course giving you hints/advice for playing certain holes. The holes are laid out well but biggest flaw is the greens were very slow and Oct 10 they had just sanded the greens. I didn't see that advertised anywhere on there website. I would have not played there if I knew that. Also they need to have a ranger out there keeping groups on time. Two groups in front of us were very slow. A round that should have taken 4 hours to play…

I recently played a round at Old South Golf Links in Hilton Head, and it was a mixed experience. The layout of the course is awesome. It's got some beautiful holes with great views, especially the ones that run along the marshes. The design makes for a fun and challenging round. However, the greens were less than desirable. They had several dead spots and were quite slow, which made putting a bit frustrating. It was disappointing given how great the rest of the course is. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The clubhouse and facilities we…

This is a really nice challenging course. The front nine was more open and the back nine added the water and marshes to hit over. This area was a little confusing for my first time at this course. The condition of the fairways, tees and greens were perfect short grass. Staff were very nice.

This course was amazing. Visiting Hilton Head and a short jump from the island gives you Old South that would be priced at least $100 more if it was on the island. The value is unmatched. Conditions were great and a very green course. Despite there being water and marsh all over the course it wasn’t incredibly difficult. A foursome of us playing at 8am on a Wednesday in August finished a little shy of 4 hours. Would absolutely recommend for people visiting.

Played course on May 17th 2023. This course has one of the best layouts I have played. It is a very fun course and you have to think about your next shot and play smart. As for the condition it is not in bad shape. Tee boxes great, fairways good, and the bunkers are nice. However maybe like 10 out of 18 greens need work but you can clearly see from the pictures they're working on them. But, the greens still roll well. With that being said I don't think the prices should be over $100 with that many greens still needing work. If I pay $100 plus for golf I don't expect to go to over half of the g…

I just want to start by saying the greens are not in as bad shape as some are commenting. The worst looking green on the course is the practice green, and none on the course looked as bad. The pins are strategically placed so any faults do not come into play. If you’re concerned about the greens, don’t be; they’re looking great, and the course is looking amazing! Fantastic layout and a very fun design, with very memorable holes. The staff was also very nice!! The only reason I did not give this 5-stars is due to the double booking issue in the morning. I booked the first tee time (8:04 AM) in…
