In summary
Crescent Pointe Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic coastal layout, challenging design, and friendly staff, making it an appealing option for golfers seeking a unique experience. However, visitors have noted that the course conditions, including fairways, greens, and amenities, could benefit from improved maintenance. Issues such as inadequate water stations, inconsistent bunker quality, and some outdated facilities have been highlighted as areas needing attention.

We have a guy's trip every year. And we come to hilton head, expecting quality service and great courses. This has quite possibly been the worst experience we have had an over ten years of visiting. The course was in subpar shape compared to other courses. We have played despite the fact that we love this layout. Service was beyond subpar, after we left the pro shop. None of the water stations had any water. Even though it was eighty degrees. Maybe consider having one less old crotchety.Guy worried about when people get off on their tea time and maybe have one guy to fill up the water jugs. Ther…

Great coastal course with beautiful marsh views and well-kept greens. Morning rounds can bring out the sand gnats, so be prepared early. I shared more details on the Burly Elephant blog if you’re planning a visit.

Perfect for the average golfer on vacation! Why drop $100 on a round when you can enjoy a well designed low country course for half the price. This course balances natural environment with residential with plenty of challenge. It was February so I didn’t expect perfect conditions. A couple greens had a few bare spots, but other than that it was well maintained for the weekend golfer. Practice green was a mess but the driving range was nice. I walked the course and clocked just under 10 miles in the presence of alligators, deer, and plenty of squirrels! Thanks for a great afternoon!

Course is in pretty bad shape given the time of year. Had a fun round but no water at the refill stations is brutal in the heat we had today. Reminded me of the $15 for 9 holes+cart type courses back home. Really could be great. For the price, just make the amenities better. Fill the water jugs, empty the trash, simple things that can be easily taken care of with proper staffing and management. This course is no knock-out-of-the-park, but it wouldn't be hard to make it worth it for the price. It's a fun layout, just do better.

Awesome layout, has tonnes of potential with better course conditions (greens and tee boxes were very playable). First time playing CP but by the sounds of it the new ownership is turning the course around. For $50 it’s great value for the Hilton Head area. #2 and #9 are great par 3’s. Would recommend and play again. Clubhouse staff were very friendly.

3 stars. The price, layout and the staff each earned a star. Considering the weather and temps have been rough this winter we could forgive the lack of any green grass. But there was little to no grass on tees and most of the fairways were bare. Again that could be the harsh winter. What was more troubling was the patches and poa annua on the greens. There is a real issue with there cart paths. Hoping they will be completely redone or members should start sending the owners their chiropractor bills. It’s too bad because the course design is both interesting and challenging.

Played this course on June 14th 2023. This course has a great layout and is fun to play. However, it does need some work with the fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes as you can see from the pictures. The greens were in good shape which was a plus. They could be cut but we received some rain a couple days straight. The clubhouse looks good on the inside and so do the eating area. Driving range and chipping area could also use some attention from the staff. Overall not bad course to play. It would be worth it.

Crescent Pointe Golf Club Review I recently played at Crescent Pointe Golf Club for the first time, and I was thoroughly impressed. The clubhouse is clean and organized, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The staff is not only friendly but also knowledgeable, adding to the overall positive experience. The golf course itself is beautifully designed, featuring a challenging layout with water hazards, sand traps, and various obstacles that come into play throughout the round. I found myself using every club in my bag, which shows just how engaging this course is. For t…

It doesn’t the deserve the “e” on Pointe. Arnold would not be happy his name is attached to this course. The staff was exceptionally friendly but then you step on the course. The layout is pretty psychotic with lots of blind shots - the cart GPS doesn’t help much - with crowned fairways that are rock hard that spit balls into the wilds. Very scruffy overall and the bunkers were in need of complete overhauls with different sand from bunker to bunker. The price is actually not outrageous for what other courses cost but it’s just not a fun course. The photo is of some weird design element that’s…

We come to HHI every summer and usually play courses on the island. We decided to try out Crescent Pointe for something new. After having issues being able to book online, we decided to call the course and got a tee time for later that day. The course had recently been aerated, and it would have been nice to know this before getting to the course. They have a new tracking system on the carts and it was miserable playing with that. If you took it anywhere into the fairway, a blaring alarm for Geofence issues would go off. Having to keep driving back to the cart path, then walk back out to hit…

Played here 4-5 times over the last few years. I really like the layout and challenge of the course but needs some surface level care. Currently lots of leafs and some beat up tee boxes. They do have some drinking water on the course, ball washer need some attention. Staff is very friendly and rates are decent. Could stop doing the golf cart/ clean your club person and have them do some maintenance.

I played 3 courses on a short trip with my wife. She picked Hilton Head for an anniversary trip and rode along with me on some quick late night golf rounds before we went to dinner. I played Robert Trent and a port royal course and this was my favorite course/layout and my wife’s favorite views. Just like the other courses the conditions weren’t what I was expecting coming down on this trip. I heard good things about Hilton head golf and expected so much better. I regularly play a course that is in poor condition but even my course has better greens than the courses I played which is unbelieva…
