What People Say

In summary

Rose Hill Golf Club is frequently praised for its friendly and courteous staff, well-maintained course, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for families and visitors to the Hilton Head area. Many appreciate the course layout and the welcoming atmosphere, with amenities such as a restaurant and live music enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, particularly with greens and tee boxes, and occasional dissatisfaction with service in the bar area. Despite these concerns, recent improvements have been acknowledged, suggesting a positive trend in the club's management and facilities.

Such a nice course and staff. 'Pay your age' for kids under 18 to play 18 holes is a great deal. My 3 kids played this course 4 consecutive days in December during our visit to Hilton Head. They were very welcoming. On the last day, the lady at the pro shop wanted to make sure the deal we had was exactly right. But she was very professional and cordial. The course is well maintained. All the marshals, support staff, the cart lady, were very nice, understanding how kids play (our threesome was pretty good keeping pace averaging 13-14 minutes a hole). I have to mention this one kind gentleman wh…

Played a quick 9 here on a Thursday afternoon. They have a practice range and a cart barn right at the clubhouse. The course was in good shape for mid-November. It doesn't play real long. It probably had water on 4 or 5 of the holes making for some fun shots. The service was good. Marilyn in the pro shop was pleasant and helpful. Greens fees were $40. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolute Dog track. Worst driving range ever. Grass, if you could find some grass was a joke. The course itself was a mess. Greens had dry dead areas on many of the greens. Best part of our day was the bar. Bartender was super amazing. She was a spitfire and always on top of all our needs. Give her a raise. Wings were amazing along with the chips and pretzel. Thats the only reason I would return to this course is the bartender and food. Sorry but being honest.

This golf club is fantastic! Great prices, and the course is in incredible shape—seriously, I almost forgot how bad my golf game is because everything else looked so good. And the real hidden gem! The restaurant at the turn… WOW. Cold drinks, delicious food, and live music that makes you seriously consider skipping the back 9 altogether. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

One of my favorite golf courses around Hilton Head. Friendly, courteous staff with a course that is fair and challenging. I highly recommend this course for it's condition, staff and price.

The investment and commitment to the course is evident. A beautiful course that has shown so much improvement, it is truly a pleasure to play. The dedication of the management and staff is obvious and they are so pleasant and knowledgeable. Add the club house restaurant, Lulu to the mix and it’s the perfect package to a memorable day of golf! All building the brand and the experience of Rose Hill Golf Club. Highly recommend!

Golf course was in decent shape. Golf staff was friendly. Stopped in the bar to have a beer after the round. I watched the bartender take care of others, apparently regulars who live in the community. Some of them arrived after I did. After five minutes without my presence even being acknowledged, I left. I may play golf there again, but I won't set foot in the bar.

A little Jekyll and Hyde course; front 9 tee boxes especially in very bad shape and some fairway drainage issue (2-3 stars); back nine was good. Still a few issues but much better. which is why i gave it 4 stars. Course layout is great; challenging. A few bad greens but overall some good movement. Just some additional daily care would help immensely.

Extremely disappointing compared to most public courses in the area. Plenty of Poa on the fairways, greens, and tees. Seems like the maintenance crew doesn’t even care about simple weed prevention. Definitely not worth your time or money, visit the public courses closer to Hilton Head instead.

Unfortunately didn’t read reviews or called the pro shop but course is in tough shape. Nothing indicated the course was in bad shape, especially the price we paid didn’t indicate the condition of the course. Really liked course layout and the difficulty of the course but there were no fairways and not a single green that was in good shape. All 18 were in poor condition. Came here on vacation and don’t see us going back unless we would get a discount for what we went through today.

Worst Golfing Experience Ever. Let's start with condition... Tee Boxes and Greens severely over grown. Fairways ok. I booked 18 holes for my son and I to golf after he got off work. The clubhouse told me they didn't think I would have enough time. I assured them my son and I played fast. They still pushed me to only do 9 holes. So, I asked nicely if we could pay for 9 and play until carts were due in at 7:45. They didn't seem to have a problem with that.. then on hole 15, a cart girl on a power trip came up to us (at 6:00) and told us we had to quit playing because all the other carts were i…
