In summary

Olde Liberty Golf & Country Club is praised for its challenging layout and significant improvements in the greens and bunkers, with many noting the dedication of the staff in upgrading the course conditions. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the fairways, tee boxes, and customer service, finding them below expectations and suggesting further enhancements are needed. Despite mixed reviews, the course is considered a good value for its price, with ongoing efforts to improve its overall condition.

Effort is definitely being put into making this a better course. It’s still not perfect but I can appreciate the work that is being put in. The greens on the back nine were in perfect shape and fresh sand is starting to show up on more holes, but not all of them yet. The fairways still have a ways to go but I’d find it hard to believe that they would go through all this trouble to perfect the greens and order fresh sand only to not fix the fairways eventually. Photo from New Year’s Day 2026, pretty much all the greens look like this now.

This is one of the very best layouts in the area. DJ has the greens in absolutely excellent condition. They are also working on the traps. About 25% of them are done. They are taking their time and doing them right. The fairways are going to take a bit more time but should be in pretty good condition this summer, and really good next year. Give it a shot and see the improvements going on. By next year it's going to be hard to get a tee time. You might think about membership before then.

The reviews really don't do the course justice. People cannot put into words, just how bad it is out there. Got charged $26 to ride each around 3pm, even that felt like a ripoff. Won't be back. For whatever that membership is between this and two other courses, this isn't a good look. If this is what I can expect from the other two courses, why even bother going to check them out. Guilt by association is a real thing. Improve the course or drop it.

There’s no doubt that this course had been neglected for a lot of years. It has always been a tough layout. I just joined in mid 2025 and the improvements in those 7 or 8 months have been amazing. The greens are some of the best I’ve played on in the area. They have rebuilt over half the bunkers. The practice area is great with huge putting green, practice bunker, chipping green, and a huge driving range. They are working to make it better daily. There is still work to be done but I can see Olde Liberty being one of the better courses in the area in a few years.

do not play here. local kids dressed in sweatpants and jordans hacking up the practice green with wedges, the fairways could be mistaken for tattooine, concrete bunkers with no sand, the list goes on. i have probably played 40 or so courses across 6 states and this is the worst i have ever given money to. cute raccoons though

greens are on the money . fairways are beat up lots of roots rain runoff.Bunkers are trash Not worth the 54 dollars to play more like 25- 30. Needs lots of improvements for 54 a round put money back in the course . update your golf carts mine was struggling.

Change of heart, I originally gave this place a bad review but I had time to reconsider and replay it. Upon replaying and reconsidering it, I understand the struggles they have and I see them trying to work on the place. The layout is really not bad and yes the course looks in rough shape but it's being worked on. It's a very affordable membership and really when you don't have a ton of cash it's a good place to play

Awesome course with awesome staff! Fairly challenging course with excellent greens. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff keeps the course in great shape. Awesome driving range. They have a very large putting green as well as an awesome chipping green with elevation changes even available!

This course should be condemned it’s unsafe to drive due to the ravines from the rain wash out. The fairways resemble the Sahara Desert. I recommend holding on to your money and checking out Adventure Landing. The thing is course has a lovey layout but gets less love than orphan. Hope in the future they get their act together and make the customers hard earned money feel well spent. If you play keep ‘em low and let it run down the concrete fairways. We left after 13 holes another couple was leaving after 9.

Been playing out here for 6 years. The conditions have really improved this year. They’ve done a lot of work on the bunkers and the greens are healthier than I’ve ever seen them. Great value as well.

I won’t go back after today. I gave it one last chance.. Besides the fact that the course is poorly maintained (although it does appear some extremely overdue maintenance has started) the heavy-set, bearded guy in the beat up clubhouse trailer is as non-customer oriented and rude as I’ve ever encountered. Everyone talks about how bad he is and how bad the conditions are, but management/ownership are tolerating him and losing patrons. What a shame, because the area around old liberty is growing and this could be a jewel. I golf to have fun, not be irritated by a grumpy guy who acts like he’s d…
