The newly renovated (2023) Pines Crossing (formerly Indian Pines) operated by Auburn and Opelika is a really nice public course. The greens and fairways have matured nicely this year and the cost to play is very reasonable. Highly recommend. ⛳ I was at the course in December and the course is still in pretty good shape. Added fall photos. 🍁

Great golf course. Beautiful view, has a renovated driving range, small but nice pitching area, and a putting green. Located pretty centrally of Auburn/Opelika and close to Opelika Rd, makes it a more accessible option than RTJ for locals or students that stay close to campus. Important note: 5:30pm is when the range stops taking people, at least for the current (spring sem) time of the year

Visited this course on 6/18/2025. I have never seen a course where every square inch was so immaculately groomed. Every tee box was perfect. Every fairway lie was perfect. Every green was firm but not too fast. Even the driving range grass was perfect. The layout is pretty straightforward, but there’s enough rolling hills, large bunkers, and water features to make it interesting. This is definitely a gem and one that I wish I lived closer to. I highly recommend checking this one out.

Great value for the price! Well maintained, challenging, and it's cool to see the planes taking off at the airport right next to the course. GPS carts are very helpful as well.

Two weeks ago my son and I played Pines Crossing and completely enjoyed it. We will return soon. The greens were fast enough to be challenging but not unfair. The course is beautiful and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, asking where we were from and making sure we knew and had everything needed before teeing off.

Enjoyed playing at the Auburn course during its impressive remodel. For the optimal experience, recommend playing during the season and when it’s in tip top shape.

Very fun course to play for a fair price. I love taking my sons out, and the staff is great and friendly. Very laid back and an awesome place to play. It’s been great teaching my kids the game I love there.

If you want to play at a poorly kept golf course where you have to wait 30 minutes in between shots, this is the place for you. If not, I would recommend going to somewhere nicer like Moore’s mill or RTJ in the Auburn area. The course is subpar, but the worst part is the wait. This course has no tee times which creates a massive pile up. I have had to wait an hour to tee off multiple occasions. I always think it will be better next time, it is not. The pile up continues as you have to wait at least 15 minutes at the next tee box, and that’s if you get lucky and have a good player in front of y…

I like this course. It was winter conditions, and the fairways are kind of close together, but still a nice course close by reasonably priced.

Course is in good shape. Very tight layout . May want to take a helmet. Golf balls flying everywhere.
