Fourth golf course on the RTJ golf trails - Grand National. Links Course - challenging, fun and peaceful. Greens are fast. Everything seemed easy after Ross Bridge, lol. Short course - It is all about the short game. It was December, so it got dark very quick. I did not get to finish all 18 but I had a blast. RTJ rankings, in terms of challenges: 1st: Ross Bridge and Silver Lakes 3rd: Grand National (Links course) 4th: Oxmoor Valley (Valley course)

I had a truly horrible and disappointing experience at RTJ Golf Trail at Grand National on Valentine’s Day. My husband and I had pre-booked a tee time for two, brought one set of clubs, and were prepared for a fun outing. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the service was unacceptable. The man checking us in was incredibly rude and, frankly, sexist. When he saw I would be playing, he told my husband, “Well, she can’t. Here’s your two options: rent clubs for her or she can just drive the cart.” He repeated himself in a condescending manner and spoke to my husband as if I weren’t even t…

Well designed course. Links course is tuff for any handicap. Greens have been plugged but will come good in a couple of weeks. The staff are great. Bar food and drink are good.

The lake course is challenging with amazing views. The par 3 18 hole course is a lot of fun. Great service everywhere we went.

What an awesome course. Best one we played at. We just happened to golf during the Yellowhammer invitational event. The course was immaculate. The greens were smooth and super fast. Beautiful design blending with natural settings. We picked a few courses for our Texas to NC road trip and lucked out this was one of the golf stops we made. Chatgpt suggested a few other places like Birmingham, but somehow I picked this location in Auburn, AL instead. Highly recommend!

The Robert Trent Jones Trail at Grand National is the perfect place for peace, quiet, and recreational fun. The scenery is beautiful and relaxing. It is a great place to practice your swing, get a game with friends, or go for a walk to take in nature. There is also a wonderful store for supplies and cafe with tasty treats. Part of the Robert Trent Jones golf trail in Alabama. Played the 18 hole par three course. Beautiful course. Challenging. Greens were hard and did not hold.

Having played 10 of the 11 RTJ Trail Sites, the Grand National is one of my favorites. Like most all other sites, the Lakes course is challenging and beautiful.. But for some reason, Grand National has probably the nicest and most professional people working here. The facilities are superb and the staff are wonderful.

Great courses. Beautiful property out away from the city. Good food and service. The only complaint is some of the marshalls badgered us for being behind on time when we were ahead of the next group by an entire hole. We were enjoying our round and holding no one up, pacing ourselves conscientiously, but they kept on harassing us to meet their time expectations with no acknowledgement that we were way ahead of the trailing group. Eventually, we pushed them to explain why we needed to pick up the pace. Alas, they had no answer and apologized and left us alone for the rest of the round.

This golf course kept doing construction without informing customers in advance. Some staff members are unfriendly, and responses to email inquiries are also rude. The toilets on the course are extremely dirty.

Beautiful 54 hole golf village. Courses are all very challenging with all the hills and the greens roll very well. They also give a student discount for Auburn students. Highly recommend
