Ponderosa is an excellent golf course on Leesville SC. The course is in very good shape except the greens which were the slowest I have played in years. I was able to play Ponderosa at a reasonable rate due to the Midlands VIP book. The photo attached is #7, a par 3 that is my favorite hole on the course

Great course and friendly staff. We got stuck in a storm while walking and the staff came out to check on us and offer a ride back to the club house. Appreciate the effort they made!

Went and played today and wasted money on dues and my round. Never in my life have i seen a golf course, let alon a private golf course, such a big ass joke. So so many ol timer members who for whatever reason assume its ok to jump people comin off 9, to start on 10, play in groups of 5 or 6. Its awful. No rangers, noone makin sure crap like that dont happen. Awful. Thank god im movin soon given options to even play in the lexington area are extremely limited unless ya wanna drive an hr one way. Sad. Id never behave like a big majority of the member base does here. The complete lack of golf et…

Dont join. So annoying. Course stays packed with groups pretty much daily. Groups of 5 alot to. To may of the "ol timer" members who act like they own the place and will hold up much quicker groups. So pretty much unless you enjoy 5 hr roumds its became useless🤷‍♂️. The groups are basicly a daily thing to. Except for tuesdays. So if you have a job you can pretty much forget it

Gorgeous golf course. Great snack bar. Upper class gentlemen running the place. I don't spend much time hob nobing with the other golfers. I mainly go to play but it's definitely one of the nicest if not the nicest recreational place in town. Only down side is the their monthly club fee but it shows in the quality of their landscaping. 👍

Excellent golf course with fun, challenging holes. Greens always in good condition. The course drains well, so even in wet weather, it is fun to play. Private course that will let a visitor play to check out the course. Great pace of play every day, including weekends. The clubhouse have reasonable drink prices and a full grill. The facility includes an 18 hole gold course, clubhouse and salt water outdoor swimming pool. It is worth the drive from Lexington, West Columbia Chapin or Aiken area as you save the drive time in your pace of play. The membership rates are very reasonable.

I know that golf during the Master’s is quite a bit more, but you do expect the course to be in good shape especially when it is a private course. I would not recommend this course as it really is over priced to what the golf gives you. Not worth it!

I play here as a guest as often as I can. The layout is challenging and the course is always in great shape. They also recently replaced the cart paths and refurbished the pool deck.
