In summary

Indian Trail Golf Course receives praise for its friendly staff, enjoyable layout with challenging water hazards, and reasonable pricing, offering a fun experience for casual golfers. However, the course conditions are a point of contention, with several reviews noting issues such as rough greens, poorly maintained bunkers, and ongoing maintenance projects that detract from the overall experience. While some appreciate the efforts to improve the course, others find the current state unsatisfactory.

I was in town visiting family and had a chance to run off for a couple hours. Everyone in the clubhouse was super nice, got me set up with some rental clubs and balls, and I was off. The course layout was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed my round. If you are coming here for pure rolling greens and perfect amenities... just relax and enjoy having a good time. The greens are pretty rough, but for the money, it was a great experience and I'll 100% be back when I get back in town. Thanks for giving me a couple hours of relaxation and enjoyment. A+

An enjoyable course - especially the back nine. It was winter when we played, and we had just had many days of rain on top of rain, so the course was very wet. Still, the course was in decent shape, with the greens being a little bumpy. I remember playing it a few years back in summer and the greens seemed nice. The Yamaha carts were new and comfortable. I would have given this course four stars, but added the fifth due to the young lady who ran the sparsely stocked pro shop. She doubled as the course ranger - a bit of a luxury in these parts nowadays. We were teeing off late in the day and…

Been a few years since I've been out here, and, let me tell you how impressed I was. The greens are looking healthy, I was greeted by all the employees with a smile and hello, and the pro shop was very well ran. You can tell this course is professionally ran. I only play golf a couple times a year, but I've already made plans to return to Indian Trail next week for another round! Thank you for a great experience.

Course nice, friendly staff, but trees are removed, Some cart paths tore up, being fixed. I'll be back, enjoyed the round.

Having not played here in a while, I decided to give it another shot. Like others have said they did some deforestation which opened everything up a lot, and took away some of the aesthetics of what you would expect a golf course to have. The course is in much better condition than I previously remember. With the fairways and greens in great shape, with the exception of a couple of greens that could use some more help to have them like the others. The bunkers are the worst part and if you end up in one, I suggest not hitting out of them, as they are all compacted and some having rocks. All in…

You get what you pay for, at least. $20 to walk is great, but if you are looking for quality, this is not the course for you. Fairways burned out, there is no rough, bunkers are filled with rocks, and greens are patchy with dirt. Layout is nice, but this course is not being taken care of.

Fun afternoon with the 12 year old. Lots of water hazards, lots of laughs. We both loved the up and down topography of back nine. Our first time visit to Indian Trail, and the staff is super to new visitors. Yes, the course is a work in progress so the price of play is right where it should be. Glad to see the effort put forth to make improvements. Give it a try.

Decent local course, generally well-cared-for. Greens are about 50-50, still need some work right now (summer 2017). Great course layout, lots of water. Nice grass-tee driving range. Inexpensive dive place to get in a round of golf...

This course is your typical out in the country, middle of cow pasture heaven. Has to be THE worst I’ve played in years. No irrigation for the fairways and rocks in the sand traps. Greens are eaten up with weeds, hard as a rock and no way the roll the ball… it bounces!!!! Payed for 18 holes… I played 7 and my friend played 8. At least the owner/ manager gave us our money back. Don’t waste you time to play here unless you have pasture pool clubs!

Don't waste your time or money. Absolutely, by far, the worst golf course I have ever encountered. Nothing good at all to say. I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. Terrible. Really, really terrible. If you want grass on your greens, this isn't the course for you. I'm not sure what they do with the money they charge, but it sure doesn't go back into the course. . They should pay people to play there.

I had a great time on this course. The elevation changes are unreal. Someone really had to have a vision to lay this course out. The guys were great and were able to accommodate my Semi. Also, special thanks to Big Mike for loaning me his clubs. I’ll definitely drop in next time I’m in town.

The golf course is in mediocre condition at best. They timbered the land on and around the course so it looks like a bomb or 2 went off and takes away from the beauty of the landscape. Prepare to move your ball from rocks and puddles and prepare to watch your ball hop and bounce on every green.
