Ponderosa Pines Golf Course is widely appreciated for its stunning natural setting, abundant wildlife, and unique layout, which offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. Many visitors commend the friendly and accommodating staff, although some express dissatisfaction with specific interactions, particularly with an employee named Rose. While the course's scenic beauty and charm are frequently highlighted, a few reviews mention issues with course maintenance and discrepancies in tee time scheduling.

The Lodge golf course is a beautiful and well maintained course. We are beginner golfers and we enjoyed playing the course. The staff are friendly and so are the green fees! Beautiful fairways are tucked into the forest. It's a nine hole course and has a bathroom between the 4 and 5 hole! We can't wait to play The Lodge course again! See ya soon Cloudcroft!!

Wonderful!! Eclectic, stunning and challenging!! ROSE is a boss!! 👏👏👏😊 Her course management skills are amazing! She manages the groups perfectly and does an outstanding job making sure the pace of play is on point. Tammy was also very friendly and helpful in the pro shop. Even the scorecards are cute with little sayings on every hole. We saw tons of wildlife on the course and the views are STUNNING!! The regular players are very friendly and accommodating!! This course is extremely elevated and cartpath only, so you must make sure that you’re able to physically play this course. I’ve played c…

The course is absolutely gorgeous this time of year; especially with the elk that are literally within 10-20 yards from you. There is a disconnect between the online and clubhouse when it comes to setting tee times though. We showed up at 10am for our tee time, set online, and there was a tournament; had to wait until 1:15-1:30pm to play. It's best to call in your tee time.

Greens are awesome! Pet friendly cause I took my new puppy with me to the course and she was welcomed! Will definitely be going back. Alot!

It is green 💚, yellow 💛, orange 🍊, and brown 🤎 (of you come and play at October); it is a golf course you might describe it using the word "elegant" and "graceful". It was built in 1899, Judy Garland and Clarke Gable used to come and stay here. It's a 9-hole course, but you can play at both red and white for 18-hole, but we played 18 + 9, just to experience more the beautiful scenery of this classic golf course. The design was so nice that you access to each hole with in walk distance, though it's up and down hill. You'll encounter reindeers if you play in the afternoon, they just love to…

Whomever was in the pro shop was cursing up a storm. Course was very poorly maintained, you have to sign a lengthy liability waiver to drive the golf cart, cart path only. To sum it up we stopped after only 8 holes and were refused a partial refund or even store credit. Trashy people, trashy course, poor experience.

We had a great experience. Played late July and it had been fairly warm and dry. Course was still playing pretty good. It's a very short course with a lot of elevation change. We saw elk innthe middle of 2 fairway. Tammie in the pro shop was very nice and very helpful. Played 9 and enjoyed it.

Staff was great here. Conditions were less than perfect but the views made up for it. If you need perfect conditions you won't find it here. Go fluff your lie somewhere else. I have played some very fine golf courses, but this was a unique and enjoyable golf experience I can't wait to do again. We saw numerous elk and hit some great shots and enjoyed the views at 9000 feet.

I love the course. We went at the very end of the season, so it's possible that it's not in the best shape. However, I can't complain. All in all a beautiful day. One other thing as well, and nothing they can do about it but there must have been some MASSIVE elk herds coming through because you could NOT get away from the hooves on the greens as well as the ummm....."milk duds" ALL OVER.

The only thing this place has going for it is the nice views and wildlife. For the price the course groundkeeping was horrible. It was cool that we did it once but will probably never be back or suggest anyone to go.

I have not played The Lodge Golf Course in over 15 years and it was better than I remembered. Great course and super fun to play. The Staff was super friendly and helpful and the course is well kept. Hole #1 & 10 are my favorites. The views are extraordinary. This course is a Must for any golfer to play!
