I have played this course many, many times over the years. The course is beautifully designed with a classic Scottish links style, set against the stunning backdrop of the Sierra Blanca mountains. The layout is both challenging and enjoyable. You would never know this used to be the location of the Ruidoso airport. Beautiful views of the mountains and lots of wildlife here, even wild horses. The course conditions were top-notch. The fairways were lush and well-maintained. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping this course in excellent shape. The staff were friendly and accommodating.…

The best valued golf course I think I have ever played in my entire life. We saw horses, elk, and the greens are pure. The back 9 was surreal and Jim was the man super welcoming. Best time I’ve had in awhile on the links.

There was alot of animal feces on the course. The day we played, there was 25-40 mph winds and in the 50s. It made the round a bit harder. The back nine has more character for sure. Some of the course and greens have damage from wild animals. If you can get a hot deal, then come play. I would play again, but would love to see the course when it's not dormant. Thanks Links at Sierra Blanca.

Absolutely beautiful course. They lowered the prices to $90 and if that's to much, go play the twilight hours at 4pm in the summer for $32. The layout is awesome and the wildlife is gorgeous. If you are easily inconvenienced then maybe a pack of wild horses next to the fairway may not be your thing, but slowly driving up to them is enough to get them to disburse. The greens were close to perfect and the fairways and tee boxes were well cared for. Will definitely be playing this course again.

First time playing the course. Fun layout, but not nearly worth the $125 price ($135 after taxes). - Cups had not been cut in what looked like a couple of days. - Greens had not healed from previous aerification. Very bumpy. - Tee boxes not set in level positions. - No beer license/not allowed to BYOB. Empty cans all over the course. In general, the course is not in great shape, even for off-season.

Love this course! Front nine is so different than the back nine. Links and the huge trees. Highly recommend playing a round.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. We like this course but about 1 year ago they raised prices. I doubt most Ruidoso residents can even afford. This is a public city course, so why are the prices like a resort??? The powers that be are going to run this quaint course into the ground and go bankrupt. This is not sustainable. The course is now a ghost town because of the prices.

Guy at counter was very rude and short with everyone. Couldn't get as many carts as we needed even with having "spectator" pay green fee. Carts didnt even have coolers. Will not be back.

A nice course in Ruidoso. It's subject to high winds, but otherwise is a links course with long challenging tee shots and good greens.
