In summary

Port Royal Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained courses, scenic setting, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both golf and events like weddings. The courses, particularly Robbers Row and Barony, are noted for their challenging yet fair layouts and effective drainage, even after heavy rain. However, some visitors have mentioned issues such as high drink prices, occasional slow pace of play, and moments of less accommodating service.

We played Robbers Row during our1st day of our stay and really loved the course! The staff was wonderful too. The greens were consistent and fairways were tight and good. I will absolutely play here again. The scenery around the course was awesome! Can't wait to see it during spring and summer. On the 2nd day we played the Baromy course. After a full night of rain we were still able to ride fairways and they were about perfect! Kudos to the course management guys and staff. I'm stunned that it wasn't CPO after all the rain!

***Greens and tee boxes just aerated on the robbers row course*** range was closed which sucks having drove 4 hours and can't warm up. Starter acted like I was inconveniencing him playing as a single but he eventually got me in a group. A lot of basic holes nothing stood out.

We had our daughter's wedding reception here last Saturday and it was absolutely top notch! Everything was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Next morning my daughter said it was the wedding of her dreams and could not have been better if we tried. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would, Thank you so much Sydney and your staff for making this day perfect for my daughter!!

Had a great time visiting Port Royal and playing a round of golf. The staff was incredible and the course was very well maintained. Since we played in the summer, I definitely wish there was more shade but it was a very fair course design. I would return to play this course again next year.

Beautiful course, we saw an Alligator, cranes, bunnies and lots of squirrels. My husband really enjoyed it. Conner was rather rude, I’m a rider and scolded me (46F) to stay in the cart and stay off the green. I’m an adult, and a grandmother. Nobody wants to hear that while on vacation. Maybe he had a bad day🤷‍♀️ Everyone else was pleasant. PS for $37.50, I didn’t stay in the cart. I got out several times 👅

Absolutely loved it! I Played the Barony Course and it was great. The greens played slow, but where perfect. A lot of rain the night before and the course drained perfect. There's a lot of bunkers that do come into play and they are very well kept. This was truly a very nice golf experience and with a golf now price at 37.00 after taxes and fees, was a steal of a deal. I'd recommend this course to anybody. Honestly I can't compare it to any other course being this was my first time playing on the Island..but I can tell you..for the price and quality, this course should be a must! Excellent staf…

Beautiful venue for a wedding but whoohee the price for one drink and one draft beer was $50! Bring ya credit card folks! Lots of room for guests and beautiful grounds for the wedding itself. Fireplace and outdoor seating plus indoor seating and a few private rooms.

Played the Barony course on July 11th 2023. Overall the course is great. Maybe 4-5 tight fairways with greets and water in play but majority of the long holes are open and allows you to rip the driver. All greens are well protected by bunkers throughout the course and are well maintained. Fairways, greens, and rough cut well. The course has great practice facilities. Although I did not use the restaurant it looked great. The only con I would say is i'm not sure why the course was cart path only on this date. I know it rained the night prior but the course was dry all throughout and cart path o…

Recently played Port Royal. As we parked at bag drop, Brian immediately arrived with a cart and take care of our bags. Great guy and makes you feel welcome as soon as exiting your vehicle. I decided to make a quick stop at the bar for a few beverages to loosen up. No time to hit balls at the range. The young lady bartender is very friendly and pleasant. The one item that is not pleasant is the sticker shock at the bar. I ordered 3 High Noon beverages and the total was something like $38.75, so almost $13 per can. We head to the Barony course and just leaving the first tee box is four carts car…

Played Robbers Row on 11:27 and Barony on 12/10. I always enjoy playing these courses. Both course are solid, good practice facilities and staff is nice and accommodating. As for the condition of the course. The greens, tees and bunkers are in good to excellent shape. However, I did find the fairways on both courses need some attention. I found many of the fairways to be thin on grass and this is not due to them not over seeded for the winter. Just looks like they need a little more seed and fertilizer during the season.

Played Port Royal/Robbers Row on 3/1/25 8:36 tee time. Beautiful, blue bird day to bring out all the weekend warriors. Overall condition of the course was in really good shape considering time of year and recent weather. Greens rolled smooth, 10-10.5. This was an excellent course, scenic, and great pace of play. 4:05 for a 4 some. Practice facilities are really nice and staff very friendly. Jay, in the Pro Shop couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating. Incredibly sociable and made sure to offer any assistance and insight he could to make the experience there as pleasurable as he co…

Course is usually in good shape but for $150 the price isn’t worth it for a below average layout on both courses. Drinks are over priced. Pro shop is average. You’re better off playing Palmetto Dunes courses just up the road or driving off the island to play HH National.
