Quintero’s “RETURN TO GLORY” This is an update to a review that was left Dec 2024, which was 0/5 stars. We paid ~$400 to play a course last year that looked as if the entire maintenance staff had been told to stop working for the previous month (overgrown tee boxes, burned out fairways, traps with no sand but dirt and rocks, and greens that were dead/dying and had chunks missing). On top of that, after a mid round run in with the now “infamous Marshall” who might have been the rudest golf course employee we’ve crossed paths with at any course harassing us about pace of play despite us waiting…

I’ve golfed all around the world, and this was easily one of the best golf experiences I’ve ever had. From the start, the attention to detail and professionalism stood out. The staff called us a few hours before our tee time to proactively inform us of a frost delay. Even though we had an afternoon tee time, it was clear they genuinely cared about making sure we were able to finish 18, something I really appreciated. If you want to see Arizona Golf at its absolute best, Quintero should be at the top of your list! Unbeatable topography with stunning views. on nearly every hole, manicured landscapes, big smooth rolling greens - all leading to a fantastic golf experience. Expensive, hard to justify greens fees and ridiculously expensive beers - but incredible service! Even got complimentary cookies delivered to us, and visits from javelina and burros!

I never had the opportunity to play before the renovation, however, right now Quintero is absolutely peak golf in the Phoenix area. It’s designed in a fun, fair and challenging way. The bunkers are absolutely beautiful with great white sand. The greens roll very well. They also give you cookies on the back 9, which is such a nice touch. I really hope they continue doing it. Out here for a golf trip with the boys, and this was hands down one of the best rounds we’ve ever played. From the moment we pulled up to the gate, everything was absolutely dialed in. If you’re lucky enough to catch Charlie before teeing off on the 1st, he’ll get you squared away and set the tone for an awesome round. The $8 million in renovations really shows - every inch of this course is first-class. The warm cookies delivered to one of our holes by the staff were lovely, and the bunkers are beautiful, but the entire experience is definitely not worth the price paid for the round. Funny enough - some of the reviews say no marshals but I thought there was waaay too many marshals. They never talked to us but hidden in the trees at least 4 different holes. Absolutely no charm in the pro shop or f&b outlet here.

Playing Quintero was a bucket list experience for me, and the drive out was absolutely worth it. Each hole offered a unique and picturesque challenge, with immaculate fairways and tee boxes that truly stood out. Pace of play was great and we didn’t see another group till about hole 16. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I played just a week before the course closed for renovations, hopefully including updates to the bunkers and many of the greens. Don't leave Phoenix without playing at Quintero. Not once did I feel like the holes were repetitive. Each hole had its own challenges, with varying options of difficulty. There are holes with split fairways for a risk reward type of play, and all the par threes offer stunning views. The staff was exceptional, and they delivered food to your cart as long as you ordered before hole #10. The condition of the course was amazing, lush green fairways and fast greens. Wow. Been trying to get here for years! Worth the wait. Staff was great. Course was pristine. We have the Troon access which reduced the price.

Probably the best golf in the state. Immaculate conditions. Pace of play was fantastic. Service was top tier. An absolute treat. The work they did over the summer is very evident and I can’t wait to go back.

An outside perspective. Played on the 10th and was genuinely one of if not the most fun rounds of golf I have played in the last few years. Made the trip from Montana to play a type of golf I have never played before. We also got paired with someone from Montana so the Montana State Bobcats vibes were through the roof. We played the Golf Course on 4-29-25. As soon as we got there it was almost unreal where you had to go to to get to the course. In the middle of nowhere! The conditions were pretty good overall. Had a few fairways that weren’t the greatest. The bunkers were never raked which was a huge bummer. No junior fee which also wasn’t great. The staff in the Pro shop was so nice and the Marshall was even nice and told us we were 31 minutes ahead of pace. The course is extremely difficult.
