Riverside Golf Course

Great course for the money! The course was nice and spread out pretty well. Price was great and the rental clubs were very nice as well. Visiting from out of town and was paired with two older guys from the area. I would play this course over and over again. Staff was extremely friendly. Great job.

Really great course with some neat holes for the price. It was neat to learn that it used to be a part of Austin Country Club and that pro golfers like Tom Kite and Ben Crenshaw played this course and took lessons and they were growing up. The staff in the pro shop were super nice and Mike gave us some great recommendations on local eats. If you are looking for another course to play with some deep history, check it out.

Great course for the price. Everyone is also awesome who works there. Always loved this place and the views of the city add to how nice the round is. Greens seem to have improved a lot in the last few years too. They put in the effort.

I'm going to be honest here for all the other people who might be considering this course for a bachelor party. If you have people in your group who are not very good at golf, or who are newer, be prepared to have a bad time and I suggest you look for a course more accommodating. We'd told the group at Riverside ahead of time we were coming for golf for a large bachelor group, and mentioned some of us are newer to golf. This is the first time playing at this golf course and the overall experience was okay! The fairways were not in great shape as well as the greens! The tee box for the most part were in terrible condition! The cost was very reasonable! Plenty of parking available.

For a muni, this is our go-to. It seems like they care, which is awesome. Lots of trees and a view of downtown. Even regular sightings of deer and other wildlife. Not super hard (not super easy for me either haha) but fun to play and the greens are solid. They even revamped the clubhouse and the F&B offerings. An afternoon here is also easy on the wallet relative to other munis.

Played on Monday, October 18th. Was looking for tee times at noon and found this place with multiple spots open, thought I was just lucky. Going out to the 1st tee box there was a groundkeepers building next to it and it was very noisy. First nine holes were in bad shape, greens were horrible, had zero friction, with big spots of sand and even dirt. Bunkers were somehow muddy with water although we’re in a dry season. Played here a couple times now. Well-maintained and easy going course. Pretty busy on weekends, and sometimes you have to wait for the tee time ahead of you to finish up, but always a good experience. Just a note, the bar cart is active, but the drink delivery from the bar hasn’t been available the last two weekends we’ve played. (The difference being mixed drink or food delivered to your hope versus hoping the bar cart will pass by for just beers/seltzers).

This is my go to course for public muni golf . Course is in good shape , staff is polite and pace of play was good . The course on some days is set up shorter and on others they have it running long making for a bit more challenging golf . Highly recommend !

10/16/25 The guy running the front desk was a completed jerk when I returned the cart. It got dark early and we returned the cart and he was rude to us as we returned the cart. I will never spend my money here again. You work at a golf course, if you have a problem with working late. Maybe don’t work. I’d play at butler before I ever play here again. The greens have sand pits on them. What a joke, no wonder it is a community college course.

It is a great course, plenty of wide open areas, but it puts a premium on quality shots and positioning. Definitely will go back after it cools off, and the greens and fairways have had time to recover from the heat stress.

lovely course. was in excellent condition when we played. only $19 to walk at twilight. pretty straightforward design with lots of tough bunkers in front of greens. We saw a ton of deer while we were out there.
