Royal Oaks at Oak Run Country Club

Took a while to enter neighborhood through guard shack with no guard. Automated system didn't work well. Guys in my group almost went home it took so long. Nice man in Pro Shop said course was in great shape. Really? Most tee boxes needed work. Some fairways had crabgrass. Most of the greens were very good. Slow front 9 as on course lessons were being given.

Greens were great, fairways were ok. The best part was the mature layout of the course. Needs some TLC, with no attendant at bagdrop it proved to be a confused start. Beautiful track to play.

I see many very favorable reviews, unfortunately these reviews are quite old and are inconsistent with current conditions as of October 2025. The course suffers from several significant problems. In no particular order, it is afflicted with: Slow play (frequent stops for players not maintaining a reasonable pace). Bare dirt and mud in all fairways. Unmanageable rough right off the fringes of many of the greens. Rude staff including the club Pro. Tee time scheduling is chaotic and late foursome arrivals are permitted to displace golfers who are on time. These issues, while being annoying at…

Nice mature course. Greens were excellent and fairways were very good. Course is wooded but fairly open so you won’t spend your day looking for balls. Overall a great value for seniors with many options.

The course is in amazing conditions! It's also fairly forgiving with a good balance of challenges. It's not too long and plays with a good flow. All the staff was great and the tee spacing and pace of play were on point.

Absolutely LOVED this course!!!! If we lived in Ocala we would play this every weekend. Great condition, great layout, nice carts, great greens. Thanks for having us!

Absolutely Gorgeous!! 1st Class services and people. Just superb grounds and atmosphere. A place that's ripe with imagination, where ideas flow and connect with the immediate and overwhelming nature of it's surroundings. A round of golf ⛳ or two? It's just what the Doctor ordered! Enjoy!!

Great course but terrible pace of play. If you want to drink with your buddies and goof around this is your course. Starter isn’t even stationed at the 1st hole and totally forget about a ranger😂. Shame

Beautiful course in fantastic condition! Tee to greens it's a superb golfing experience. And the folks in the pro shop, pub, and clubhouse are super kind and friendly. Wife & I highly recommend Royal Oaks Golf Club!

Greens and fairways are always in good shape but you don't want to hit off the rough. Plenty of dirt, roots if you hit through the ruff

We live on the course, love to watch how they stager the player and work very hard to keep it in shape. I can see them at 5am mowing trimming and blowing out the area. Great job with irrigation

Beautiful course. Great fairwsys, fast green greens. Best course for under $80
