What People Say

In summary

Science Hill Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, offering a challenging yet enjoyable layout with wide fairways and undulating greens. The staff is generally seen as friendly and accommodating, and the clubhouse amenities, including a patio with scenic views, add to the positive experience. However, some visitors have noted occasional issues with course conditions, such as long grass and problematic greens, and a few have reported negative interactions with staff members.

Latest review July 2025 —— The course I keep coming back to! It has such a good balance of challenge, enough water to keep it fun but not overwhelming. The greens are in such good condition and it all makes for a very enjoyable round of golf! Chicken burger was great, staff were awesome. It made for another great experience! Previous review Sept 2024 —— Great course, good price. Very well kept greens and good challenge level for two mid handicappers (shooting mid 90’s). We found it tough to follow the course layout and we’re fortunate to have a pair in front of us to follow for the front 9. R…

Although I've known about this course for years, this was my first time playing it. What I didn't know is how good it is. I was more than pleasantly surprised. It is by far in the best shape of any course I've played this year. The greens are in fantastic shape, the fairways are cut perfectly and the layout is very challenging. A good mix of both long and short holes that require some thought as to shot selection. Nice clubhouse with a practice green and a patio overlooking a couple of the holes. Bit of a drive from London but well worth it. Already looking forward to playing it again.

18 holes for $75 at 4pm All the greens had holes all over the place made putting impossible... grass is super long in spots, kids hitting balls into others.. staff doesn't care.. I cannot recommended. Take a 10 minute drive and play a better course... Not the point Discounts? Then why was it so expensive.. do you owe me a discount? Not wanted.. Have you herd of a roller? I love how snooty you are towards your customers.. instead of coming up with a solution. 👍

Hidden gem! A challenging and ecclectic 18 hole golf course. It is very well kept. Clubhouse has sweet little elevated patio offering views of #1 tee, #3 green and #4 tee. Round for 2 players with cart was about $100 (before snacks and drinks)

Great course my favorite now. Not corporate owned, and it shows with how it is maintained. Crew I think care. Fun course, for less experienced golfers.

I was told by a friend that this place is the best "bang for your buck" and I will agree. Great course always in good shape and I've been spring, summer and fall. Greens are nice and some are a blast to putt and some a little tricky. Overall experience for cost is perfect and a must play if your looking for new course in the area.

I am really surprised at the overall Condition of the Golf Course this season 2025 , the rough is a lot longer , harder to locate uour ball , fairways have a lot more weeds and not as green as it always was , with all the rain we have had this spring you would think it would be in better shape, Check-in takes a long time I hope it all can improve ,

Great track. Great conditions. Friendly staff. Only thing missing is a driving range.

The course was in great shape and a reasonable cost. The staff was very welcoming. The course has wide enough fairways and rough with some bunkers and water in places to add some subtle challenges. Unfortunately, the bunkers are beach sand and when wet are challenging to hit a decent shot out onto the green. It is a quiet, serene 18 holes in a country setting outside St. Mary's Ontario with mild elevation changes. Most golfers without mobility issues could walk it. The golfer who hits in 90's and 100's will find it a lovely challenge, whereas the golfer hitting in the 80's or less will allow y…

Another great experience at Science Hill country club restaurant. They have a beautiful patio, good food the most importantly great service. Riley was our server today and she's great. On previous visits Angela has been our server and she's great as well.

Very enjoyable course to play. Wide-open fairways, playable roughs, not too many water hazards. Some longer par 5s, and quite a few birdie-opportunity par 4s. Greens and fairways are very-well maintained. Nestled in the rolling countryside and fertile farmland of nearby St. Marys.
