Sierra Del Rio Golf Course

Very scenic and challenging course. We had a great time. There were a couple of holes that had hoses/sprinklers coiled up in the fairways, but we were able to play around them. Very well kept course. The staff we dealt with were very friendly. Dinner afterwards was great. We tried a variety of dishes to include the beef fajitas, nachos, wings and salads. Everything was great--I would definitely recommend the beef fajitas!! Overall we had a great experience and look forward to our next visit.

This course was in really decent shape for mid December. There were a few risk reward holes where you hit a blind shot around a hill, I watched a few people do it, so give it a go. The greens ran so beautiful. I'd guess a 12. Who ever is taking care of them, I salute you. I wish I had taken video of the speed

Outstanding golf course in the middle of nowhere. Every staff person that I spoke with including the grounds maintenance guys out on the course we're all super friendly. Of course was in great shape. Nice size driving range and putting green to warm up on. Price is very affordable for such a nice course. Hard to believe that you're basically surrounded by the New Mexico desert and then you've got this beautiful green lush Golf course. Definitely recommend playing this course

We stopped in for lunch on our anniversary. We sat on the patio which has a great view of the golf course and the mountains. We each had one of the sandwich specials with a glass of wine. The food and drinks were great. Our waitress was a very nice young lady with a beautiful smile. She went above and beyond to make our lunch special. Thanks

Amazing course in great condition. Challenging and fair. Amazing views. I’ll definitely come back for more!! 2 complaints, one serious. The geofencing on the carts is not working or not set up properly. The geofence alarm goes off on cart paths, especially near the greens. Several instances of alarms going off during backswing or going off constantly while you are putting. Also, the bunkers only have about 1/2 inch of sand, with hard pan underneath.

Food was great as per usual since the place opened under new ownership. Had an amazing seared tuna and a yummy pecan salad (+ chicken). Our favorite part of the entire experience was Krystal, our bartender. She is a bartenders bartender. The only thing better than her cocktails is her contagious smile and can do attitude! A++

The best meal we had on our trip to CO and NM. I got the beef fajitas, and my husband got the green chile burger. The fajitas were perfectly seasoned and cooked, served with caramelized yet crisp-tender peppers and onions. The burger had a delicious char yet cooked exactly medium as requested, accompanied by a delicious green chile sauce. The recommended New Mexican red wine was also wonderful. For dessert, the pecan ice cream was definitely homemade as it was loaded with sugary spiced pecan chunks. Service was personal with the chef even coming out to ask about our order. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food and service! Highly recommended! We had The strawberry salad, ahi tuna, ribeye, and filet mignon and all were perfect! When we’re next in T or C we will be back!

Grayson was the most welcoming. Daniel was incredibly attentive. The food was incredible, very much like being at a private country club. We really enjoyed our experience!

It has been a number of years since I played at Sierra del Rio Golf Course. Nine of us went down this week to play the course and see the renovations of the club house and country club. The changes and devotion to the course and facilities are visibly evident everywhere. Starting with your arrival at the clubhouse. My family and I came from Pennsylvania for a wedding and had breakfast here on Sunday before a few family members left to go home. The food was amazing, buffet style breakfast on Sunday until 1pm. They had biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage, enchiladas, made to order omelets, cubed fried potatoes, fresh fruit, chicken fried steak and I’m sure I’m missing something else but it was all amazing. This is a very scenic golf course with beautiful views. The course for December was in great condition. Challenging with many elevated tee boxes. Currently on Mondays they offer a special rate with a complimentary hotdog and drink at the turn. Clubhouse, restaurant and patio are beautiful along with the staff.
