In summary

Silver Lake Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained conditions, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff, making it a pleasant experience for both beginners and seasoned golfers. The course layout offers a mix of challenges with narrow fairways and elevation changes, although some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and organizational challenges, particularly during peak hours. Despite these concerns, the overall experience is enhanced by the welcoming atmosphere and convenient amenities.

Course was in ok shape but it was the slowest round of golf I have ever played. Paid for 18 but left after 9 holes took over 3 hours. If you’re gonna play, bring a book and a sandwich and get ready to do more sitting around than golfing

Played here for the first time today after a couple of years playing the other NYC municipal courses. Well-kept parkland course with easy access through public transport from Manhattan. Greens are in good condition, running true and firm. Not the most challenging layout, but there are a few elevation changes and dog-legs to mix it up. Thoroughly enjoyed the round and will be back.

Good municipal course. Well maintained for what it is, views are really nice. Pretty short course but fairways are very narrow and all right next to each other, so errant drivers are often hitting into neighboring fairways and sometimes other groups. Clubhouse is well kept with a good selection of food and drinks. Staff is nice, carts are well kept. Good pace of play in the morning hours, but gets pretty crowded in the afternoon

My new home away from home next time I’m in Staten Island. Mr Tally and Fred were as hospitable as I’ve ever encountered. Green fees were extremely affordable, some amazing views, fun layout and the greens rolled true.

I came for my 8:09 tee time. It’s now 8:30 and there are 4 groups that haven’t teed off yet. Even the 7:30 tee time is still waiting to hit. It’s pathetic and for the price really unacceptable. Nobody seems to care either. For $95 a round I expect at least some sort of organization. I’ll never be coming back here ever again, a horrible experience. Pictures in the photo is the line to tee off on the first tee.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Absolutely horrible experience. Paid around $25 each for carts. They did not care at all about the times. We waited so long to tee off and there was already a line waiting behind us to start. I would’ve expected this place to charge $20 to play not $50 + $25 for the cart.

A lovely course, keep your head on a swivel because the fairways are narrow and not everyone yells when they shank one.

I really enjoyed this course. This was the first course I've ever played on in my life. I went out in April and the greens we're being aerated, so that sucked a little, but that is just part of it early in the season. I probably should have tried another course as my first course, as many of these fairways are really tight and unforgiving, but the course is beautiful, scenery is awesome, love all the hills, and I had a great great time playing. Great experience for my 1st time. The other two Staten Island courses are easier for beginners imo, but this is my favorite to play on so far. I haven'…

Beautiful course well maintained with a very historical looking club clubhouse. Amenities were fine price was reasonable enough. Went on a wet day so all cart path, still finished in 4.5 hours. Would definitely recommend playing a round here

We played in the T2T Veterans Day outing and the greens were perfect even though it was freezing out. The couse is in awesome shape for this time of year

They have a $24 cart fee per person. Almost $50 to get a golf cart. Unbelievable
