In summary

Southbridge Golf Club is appreciated for its fun and challenging layout, as well as its friendly staff and nice clubhouse amenities. However, many visitors express dissatisfaction with the condition of the greens, describing them as poorly maintained and unplayable, which detracts from the overall golfing experience. While some acknowledge potential improvements in the future, the current state of the course is often seen as not meeting expectations for the price.

This golf course is nothing short of a travesty—a $52 rip-off disguised as a Sunday drive. Not a single green showed any sign of life. Every putting surface was so abysmal, it felt like driving on a golf-themed sand trap. And nowhere during booking or play did anyone mention the state of the grounds—this is what bait and switch looks like. Let me be blunt: whoever decides that these “greens” are acceptable should be ashamed—from the groundskeepers to the front desk staff. If you haven’t been embarrassed to operate in public, you might want to try it here. I nearly marched back to the cottage…

This course was a huge letdown, and the problems started before I even got to the first tee. The driving range mats were all torn up, and every single rubber tee was broken. As for the course itself, the greens were absolutely atrocious – patchy, rock hard, and riddled with weeds. It was like putting on a poorly maintained parking lot. The fairways looked like they'd been attacked with a can of spray paint, and were in desperate need of some TLC. Honestly, the whole place felt neglected and overpriced. Save your money and find somewhere else to play; I definitely wouldn't recommend this course…

So where to begin…… 18 hole course with a fun and challenging layout. Was able to test different shots and try some new clubs. Now for bad tee boxes weren’t terrible pretty normal set up with those. Now the greens were absolutely terrible. It looked like someone came out and took the grass on the greens. Over sanded and just for the price that was paid you’d expect better greens than that. This could be something they are addressing and I hope so because the layout and course was fun and I did enjoy the round. The clubhouse hotdog at the turn was so good. The clubhouse is nice with friendl…

Thought I'd give this course another chance as when I played it 7 months ago, was the WORST I had ever played. I felt bad for the membership and people that live in that nice community. However, I thought, give it another chance. Boy, was I wrong!! It was in the same condition as last April with the ONLY improvement noticed, the tee-boxes (and they still weren't great, but better than before). The management keeps stating "we're working on it," and "be patient with us." How patient are we talking? You've had nearly 8 months to improve and you obviously aren't putting the money or time in it, t…

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Never Again I’ve played on many courses, but the putting green here was by far the worst I’ve ever seen. It was in horrendous condition – uneven, patchy, and completely neglected. It felt more like putting on a bumpy dirt path than a golf green. I don't know if they just stopped maintaining it or if they don't care, but it ruined the entire round. It’s honestly shocking that they charge players full price with greens like this. Completely unacceptable for any course, let alone one that pretends to be professional. I would not recommend this place to anyone, a…

Wish read reviews before playing. Sub par condition for premium price. I know all the responses are they are going to work on the greens but to still be charging more or as much as ever course in the area which is in much better condition is a crime. If they know there is a problem then adjust accordingly so the you're not ripping people off. I'll plan to go somewhere else. Did like layout and staff was friendly only reason for 2 stars.

Just wondering how long the staff is gonna say they’re working on improving the course when all it’s done is go completely down hill over the last year or so and have shown no signs of improvement whatsoever. This is an absolute pitiful place to play and they should be ashamed to even call this a golf course. Whatever the staff is getting paid is clearly way too much. They aren’t even worth paying minimum wage. Never thought I’d see the day where I find a course where I’d rather go play Mary Calder over but yet here we are. Absolute travesty. The only reason this gets one star is because I can…

Played here this past weekend on a bachelor trip and I was very disappointed. I'll start with the good...the staff is nice, the clubhouse is nice and the course layout is actually an easy yet enjoyable layout. Now the bad. The immediate first thing is the course is not managed well at all. The rough and the fairway are basically the same, cart paths are destroyed, Everything from tee to green looks like it has not been touched by a mower in weeks. Lastly, and the most infuriating are the greens. I don't know what to say about these greens besides the fact that I've never seen greens in this c…

Great layout, challenging and in decent shape. A few bad tee boxes and greens but it's their winter. Greens are dormant and painted. Staff is friendly, price is right. A tough walk on the back side but manageable.Need to try again in the spring. Could use a map on the scorecard.

Excited to play this course with my family. At $70 for 18 and this is the best green on the course. What a poor value and major disappointment.U

Knowing it has rained for weeks, course was in bad shape. Greens were almost unputtable. Normally a really nice course, maybe next year it will be worth it. As far as this year, I don't think I'll return.
